I give Kimbo a hell of a lot of credit for coming on TUF. The reason so many people were against him, including myself, is that he was being sold as the greatest heavyweight fighter ever by EliteXC. We actually disliked the EliteXC management more than Kimbo Slice.

However, I don’t expect that Kimbo will win. He has a punchers chance in any fight, sure. But in the UFC that doesn’t get you far. Even guys like Chuck Liddell are looking pretty shabby as guys like Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida entered the scene.

Kimbo wins his first fight to get into the house, that is obvious from interviews. But I think he loses his second. The first time it goes to the ground, Kimbo loses. Sorry Kimbo.

I completely understand how annoying Kimbo’s YouTube fans were when he burst onto the scene, and how anyone who knew anything about MMA would be annoyed by the way he was promoted. But I find it difficult to comprehend how anyone could actually dislike this guy. He seems like a genuine, respectful guy when he’s not fighting and, as one dimensional as he is, he’s pretty fun to watch when he is fighting. I dunno, I’ve never been a follower or a big booster (actually, I was sure that Mercer was going to clean his clock), but I really think I’ll be rooting for Kimbo this season. I’m betting there’s a very large part of Dana White that’s rooting for him, too. If he shows he can hold his own in the cage against true competition, this guy is a gold mine.

Dana wants Kimbo to do good on the show…..Shit Kimbo is more marketable than Lesnar that means big bucks!!!!

by doing what he is doing, kimbo is already winning over lots of critics and as some here has posted, have had a change of point of view on kimbo. ive followed kimbo from the youtube days and have been pulling for him thru his mma career and would like to see him win this thing. he might not be the favorite,thats obvious, but thats why Kimbo has so many fans. he came from being almost homeless to be where he’s at. and all these haters, critics, mma fighters obviously wont give him absolutely no respect for just that itself? why? theyre all jealous and hating on him because he got famous and got money and endorsements? obviously these clowns will never understand what its like to ‘choose from the lesser of two evils’ to feed your family. and they never will. fools..

maybe the haters should wonder why these promoters and endorsements chose kimbo in the first place. you dont think its because they saw what his fans saw? his struggles, an underdog story in the making.kimbo is just one of many examples of people out there struggling and trying to make a better life for he and his family.in a way he represents these people and his fans appreciate him.
