Strikeforce: “Destruction” MMA video of Kim Couture vs. Lina Kvokov. The fight took place on November 21, 2008 at the HP Pavilion, San Jose, Calif.

Yes, she is Randy Coutures wife. Nicer showing. I knew she had potential from her first fight when she lost a UD.
I dont know what progress she has made since she was in there is nothing more then a heavy bag. But its not her fault her opponent did not come to fight. She looked scared as hell before they even touched gloves. She took care of business so that is a plus in my book.

Didn’t see much of Randy’s dirty boxing or take-downs…maybe next time.
This fight is a disgrace. Gina carano has some skill and Christiane Santos is a fucking monster (seriously, she’s the only female fighter where my mind doesn’t have to go “… fo a woman” when i say “yeah, she’s good”), so i’m not gonna throw the “girl’s can’t fight”-comment. But seriously. These chicks look like fucking retards in that cage. I’d be laughing my ass of if it wasn’t so sad. They’re just further reinforcing the notion that mma is no place for women.
Seriously, any woman with decent takedown abilities would dominate the women’s division in any promotion.

If you can’t watch girls fight, then why are you watching??? Either don’t watch it, or evolve. Women are just like men in terms of being competitive. I don’t see how it’s so hard to watch.

LOL, disgrace? Come on, I would say the first fifteen UFC’s were a disgrace! My point is, the acceptance has to start somewhere… I thought Couture came and took care of business, and the other fighter probably needs to turn in applications for a day job.. Kim’s 1-1, fighting for beans, so is Randy’s son, Ryan.. They aren’t expecting handouts! I can see Kim and Gina really being an advocate for women’s MMA. Disgrace? No, I think both fighters learned something about each other, and one fighter looked great, throwing nice strait punches, not loopy or palmy, and I personally am hoping WEC puts Santos vs Carano on.

Sounds like a wrestler who’s never eaten real strikes before. Kim Coutoure had pretty good stand-up in this fight. The only disgrace was Kvokov’s performance.
This fight reminded me of “So You Think You’re Tough” cheap boxing fights on the fight network. Absolutely embarassing.
That’s crap. They gave Couture a walk-through to make her look good, after getting spanked last time. She deserves no credit for beating up a girl who didn’t even show up to fight.
It was sad to watch Kvokov flail around in the ring. I felt nothing but sorry for her. She doesn’t even look like she’s tough outside the ring, I think one of the ring girls could knocked her silly. Have to agree with LKJ that this is the kind of fight that critics look to when bad mouthing the ladies. I would tell them to watch the Carano vs Kedzie match, that was a hell of a fight.
Go Kim-bo! Couture! Ha. I’d like to see her fight a higher quality fighter. I’m pretty sure my Mom could have kicked Kvokov’s ass – she almost ko’d me when I was in 8th grade… I thought she was kidding. KLOK!

I gotta be honest…no disrespect to kvokov, but you cant really judge the progression of kim couture because her opponent didnt even fight. she was just looking for any reason to get out of the fight. I think she just wanted the paycheck

I’d love to see carano fight santos. Both those girls can actually fight, and have skill.
The match between kim couture and kvokov looked like a freak show, and i was embarrased on behalf of mma and women in sports.
Carano vs. Santos is a completely different story though, as both girls can actually put on a technical fight, and thus are proper embassadors for the sport.

I dont know why you guys are hating on these girls. Sure the fight looks like newbs fighting but your not in that situation, and every fight is different. Just because its not what you expect or how good you want doesnt mean they suck.
This just looks to un-natural for me to be able to take seriously. Cook me dinner.
