Wow, I’m happy the judges scored the fight correctly. Couture did nothing on the feet or the ground and looked overweight and fatigued. Rose was brutal on the standup and neutralized Couture on the ground. I’m shocked the judges scored the fight for the striker and not the grappler. Finally.

I have had 11 pro mma fights and have seen a lot of guy’s take beatings,but i have never liked seeing girl’s fight.
I would not like knowing or watching my mom fight, like Kim Coutures son had to do.

I have to admit, I’m a little sqeamish about seeing girls fight, but I’m into MMA for the technical aspects, not the bloodlust. So I look at this fight and think “I’ve seen FAR worse men’s fights.”
The commentary was hilarious, marveling at what Rose hoped to accomplish with the guillotine. Duh. Doing a damned fine job of neutralizing Couture. They shouldn’t quit their day jobs, that’s for sure.

When guys fight.. if the fighter is in trouble the ref has the authority to stop it.
When girls fight, does the ref have the authority to stop it if her looks are in trouble? sad to see a pretty face get smashed, and cauliflower ears won’t compliment it either.

Kim (Couture) had some nice tosses and position, but doesn’t know how to punch, and should have shot in a few times. Also, it’d be too long to list the sub. attempts she had but didn’t capitalize on. More practice…she should be pretty decent.

I think that kim has potential. I have no doubt about her cardio since she trains with her husband. People don’t realize how much energy you lose when your breathing is restricted. When I used to play premier soccer, I lost a good 20% of my stamina when my allergies kicked in- plugging up my nose and throat with phlegm. I couldn’t imagine how tough it would be when you have blood pouring out of your nose and down the back of your throat.
Her clinch game is solid (she’s working with the natural lol), but she needs to work on everything else. maybe she just had a case of the jitters since it was her debut

Couture just needs more practice. If you can outlast your opponent and get a submission, you win, bloodied or no. WOW! The commentators sounded like they were in a tin can. And they were drowning out the fight. Kim Couture really took a beating. I’d say she has a good chin but it broke on the first punch. Funny how Women’s MMA looks exactly like Men’s MMA did when it first started. Fighters are sloppy, and very 1 dimensional.
Great to see it really kicking off though. I’m sure in a few years they’ll both be much sharper all around, and the sport in general will take leaps and bounds just as it did for men.

When Kim Couture got off first ,I though she controlled the action for that moment, but as soon as she stopped, Rose came hard. Kim Rose looked great, energy, drive, but needs the groudn game. Kim Couture pulled off some great knees and takedowns but could not go any where with any of it. With some beter boxing on one side, beter wrestling on the other and some BJJ on both and they’ll do great. I’m all fore more women in the MMA, lets make this an equal opertunity sport. I have to say that Kim Couturs face looked absolutely beautiful all smashed up and just as women shure as hell find the MMA guys hot as they go at it, so are the women, skills, pretty faces, attitude and grit!

the commentary was horrible, I’m glad the judges weren’t so bias. And as a woman fighter, this wasn’t the best representation of what women can do technically. But I thought it was a great show of heart for Couture to fight through the blood and thanks to the ref for not stopping it. I’ve seen plenty of female fights get stopped way too early for bullshit
