This is the MMA fight video of Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto versus Rani Yahya at K-1 – Premium 2007 Dynamite!!

Kid Yamamoto is one of the most exciting fighters to watch in any form of mixed marital arts. Rani Yahya has a great grappling background that he acquired while training with the Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Yahya is great on the ground but he often likes to stand and trade punches which frequently gets him in trouble.

As much as I like watching Kid Yamamoto fight I’d like to see him leave the friendly confines of Japan and fight some top tier opponents. He has no more reason to fight these middle level fighters in Japan. I’m sure any U.S. MMA organization would love to have this guy and they’d pay him top dollar to join them. I heard a rumor that he’s training to compete in the Olympics for Japan in Judo and while that’s nice and patriotic it doesn’t pay like MMA.
