Wow, can’t believe Lauzon got beat so hard - I thought Florian would bring a great fight, but Lauzon’s like Mac Danzig - nothing really phases him.

Well, til now, I guess. Great fight from Florian, the guy’s doing awesome after dropping 30 lbs from his TUF days.

florian just had too much experience for lauzon, don’t get me wrong lauzon is a great fighter but it was too early in his career for such a experienced fighter as florian, good fight!

I do not get why someone can duck and give you the back of their head and your the one who gets in trouble. You see more fighters using this as a tactic to avoid blows and gain disqualification victories due to blows to the back of the head. Joe got what he deserved when Kenny sliced him up, he should not have kept his head there. It still pisses me off when I see fighters purposely do this and are rewarded for pussy ass tactics.

I think they should do it again at sealevel. I’m just disapointed in Joe. He didn’t do what he needed to. He had a good first round though.

I said from day 1 that training with BJ would ruin Joe Lauzon. You can’t take someone who excels by overwhelming and pummeling ppl and try to turn them into a technical ground fighter. Don’t get me wrong BJ is the man, but his style is unique and it works for him. Joe should have been throwing leather all over Kennies ass but instead he went for a fucking heel hook, TWICE. O well, Kenny is a bad ass, I had a good feeling this is how it would go down, Joe was way too cautious. Kenny eats that shit up. Should have watched some tapes, Kenny only loses when he fights someone too agressive for him.

It seems weird that there were many fighters that night that gassed by the 2nd round…. I really don’t think it was from bad preparation but from the mile-high elevation…. Too bad for Lauzon, he had a good 1st round. I want to see him fight again soon

good fight! dont know why lauzon went for the heelhook on the first, he had pretty good position on kenny and couldve done some damage instead of dropping back

The elbow strikes were legal just not the way he was throwing them. The Unified Rules allows elbow strikes except those hitting downwards with the point of the elbow. Strikes to the back of the head, spinal area and kidneys are illegal areas.

I gotta say florian is a corny bitch but hes worked himself into being a solid well rounded fighter. joe is no joke and ken-blo made pretty light work of him. id like to see him fight a top ranked fighter again. juice head sherk bested him but i think this is a different florian.

huerta is gonna take it from florian i think. he’s got way more experience and the dude just NEVERRR gives up. i do think kenflo has better BJJ, but huerta is a much better wrestler AND striker imo.. penn vs huerta for the next lightweight champ fight!!! …oh and anderson silva will rule the world!`lol
