This is the UFC 80 Rapid Fire MMA Fight Video of Kendall Grove versus Jorge Rivera.

A fast, and for me surprising finish to what I though would be one of the better fights on the night.

Seems like KG could be a good fighter on paper but he’s not looking like it in the octagon. Didn’t think Rivera would win this figured Kendall could manage a sub but he just got worked.

Now see I’m a striker myself and that right there is a good example of great striking…all you gotta do is over power,overwhelm and confuse your opponent especially since strikers are usually stronger than ground technicians and kendall just isnt that good so he was destined to lose.

I remember seeing Rivera in the UF… he showed potential… but he seemed to be too eager, in stead of letting the fight flow he tried to superimpose his ability , which left him open, and he ended up paying the price. He has lost to more patient fighters.

MAN!!! if I’m ever gonna be get knocked out… I want to lay on my back… because getting knocked out and ending up looking the way Kendall did looks embarrassing, looks like he just got KOed via bitch-slap.

kendall looked like he had no muscles in his body, looked extra weak to me this time like he didn’t train worth shit. Simply put that did not look like the same Kendall we seen fight alan belcher, I just figured he was going to be better prepared seeing he got KO’d in his last fight too

people are crazy for thinking rivera was the underdog for this fight. rivera is a ufc vet with much more experience, and kendall needs a new traing camp, to stop partying, and to bulk up a little. i love how people who never followed mma and know nothing about it, just watch the tuf show and all of a sudden think their an mma expert and start betting on mma. i bet on rivera this fight and the odds were stacked against him, can u say cha ching cha ching

Jorge has been training CST with Coach Scott Sonnon that made ALL the difference. His energy tank (conditioning) was just so much more refined.

kendall is still under the six figure contract(3 years, 3 fights per year) that he won, so…Da Spyder will still be here for a while. he needs to stop smoking weed and get his shit straight!

So much for “Team Dagger”….lol. However, I don’t think that Grove was prepared for the non-stop onslought brought by Rivera. Gorge simply went in to destroy the guy, and when he got in the position to pummel him, he did just that.

What a lot of people don’t understand is that Jorge has fought some serious studs such as: Anderson Silva, Lee Murray,Travis Lutter, Rich Franklin, ( who he was 30 sec. from beating), and even Tim Sylvia, who he did beat early in his career — he has never given anyone a lousy fight for the exeption of his last fight. Who has Kendall fought and why was Jorge such a huge underdog? In the words of Richard… “cha ching cha ching!!”

I agree with Richard too! I love TUF because it is making MMA grow a lot faster in the US, but the newer fans often get on the forums and think that they know more than people that have been watching long before the TUF show. Grove is weak as hell… he needs to do some strength excercises before even thinking about fighting again. He should of used his lanky ass legs to his advantage.
