Three things I could see in this fight:
1- Minowaman was very confused by the cage. If you pay attention to the first and beginning of the second round, every time they got close to the cage Minowa acted weird. If you are fighting in a cage, you need to train for it until you get used to it.
2- Minowa is used to fighting big, slow guys with very little technical skills on the ground. Grove is fast and knows his jits. Big wake up call for Minowa if he wants to fight in the US. Minowa should have kept the leg kicks of the first round flowing.
3- Grove looked focused and in shape. Maybe he is ready for another try in the UFC, if he beats Jay Silva next month. He’s not champion material, but could be competitive.

I thought this was an interesting match, I was impressed by Minowaman’s technique standing, he had a shotokan karate stance it looked like, and was throwing leg kicks with emphasis on speed. I thought he telegraphing his kicks a bit with his weight distribution but Grove was content checking them I guess. Minowaman did a great job surviving, when you consider Kendall had a body lock from the back for most the second half of the fight. He just couldn’t find an opening for that RNC.

With Grove it’ll always be the same. He is so lanky. On his back stronger guys can over power him. Standup wise he is ok. He doesnt have great power on any of his strikes but his reach and speed to make up for it. These will never change because its due to his build not skills. His skills arent bad but they arent like Anderson Silva’s which would probably suit him perfectly

Nah kendall needs alot more fights before hes worthy in the ufc again. He would get run over by chael and munoz easily. minowaman is garbage and this was a fight where kendall trains. In my eyes kendall didnt improve from this fight to his ufc fights he looks the same. Wait till he fights a couple more worthy opponents.

Kendall is terrible at using his reach advantage. Infact, he doesn’t use it at all. In contrast to Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz.

Since Kendall Grove is headlining another MMA card in less than a month, I knew that he was looking past Minowaman… but knew that Kendall was going to be way too much for a bum like Minowaman.

I wish Minowaman would loose a little weigh and fight someone more his size. I know grove is skinny but damn. Cardio man.

Little red riding hood got OWNED by Grove who looked like a season vet. It looks like Grove has finally woke up from his slumber when he was in the UFC. He needs to keep fighting better opponents outside of the UFC.
