DREAM 12 MMA fight video of Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Zelg Galesic. The bout took place October 25th at the Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, Japan.

Saku needs to retire. But that wasn’t as bad as the commentator was making it out to be. Saku knew he was fighting a chump so he wasn’t worried about a few pansy hits to finish it early.

Sakuraba is my favourite fighter of all time. Zelg Galesic was NOT an easy opponent. Saku’s tolerance to pain is incredible. He absorbed a LOT of punishment to eventually get that knee bar. It warms my heart so much that at this stage in his career, Saku can still pull of memorable wins against young, talented fighters. I hope Zelg didn’t get injured. He was reeling in pain.

I was turning my back to go back to work saddened that Sakuraba is no longer relavent against real MMA fighters of today. I couldn’t be happier for a true legend. Poor guy should have set it up better, could have avoided the free cosmetic surgery.

great shoot, great take down by saku. zelg did a great job of getting top position and did an awesome job on raining down punches. great effort by both men. saku took the punishment and worked the kneebar. i really hope zelg didn’t get injured bad, u know he’s injured for sure. poor kid

Any word on Zelg’s knee, torn Miniscus/ACL/MCL? He clearly could’nt stand even a few minutes after. Knees don’t quite ever get back to 100% unfortunately it seems, same with shoulders.

I know a few have mentioned this would have been stopped in the UFC, but I’m of the mind that it should have been stopped. I guess Zelg should have punched a little harder, but Sakuraba clearly wasn’t defending himself after many shots to the head..And they weren’t mere hammer fists either.

It didn’t appear like he was defending, but he was working that leg the whole time.

THats one thing the UFC refs have to learn. Sometimes fighters sacrifice a lot of hits to gain the advantage in the long run.

He also cleary wasn’t get hurt by those hits, he didn’t sprawl out flat or look floppy at all.

Zelg looked like he was punching him as hard as he could, and Sakuraba took it. Saku was the one up and walking around at the end. Zelg was on the floor. I like Galesic and I don’t wish him to be injured, but this is the true outcome of that fight with no intervention.

I love Saku…but he should really hang it up…go out with a win…be a trainer or Japanese commentator…he already has nerve damage and probably some brain damage as well. Gutsy win, but this fight would have been stopped anywhere else…Galsic landed like 20 unanswered blows…love to see Saku compete but now when he is just getting battered and gets a desperation sub.

Ok Agreed this does Beat the Ufc. It Makes Ufc Fighters Look Weak. And The Commentators from UFC need to be here and these guys need to Commentate Basket ball or Something They know not what they say. Finally a cage not a ring. But, in an act of defiance they made it a hexagon not an octagon haha. But, as for the fight. Zelg is an idiot. He should have extricated his leg before continuing to bombard him with punches. He assumed Saku was dead in the water. But he didn’t do his homework. Too bad, I think he got a knee sprain for his trouble.

This fight should have been stopped. If I was the ref, it would have stopped it. Saku pulled a rabbit out of his ass… 99 of 100 fighters are finished from those shots.
