But I must say that I love the rules of that time.
The grapplers had time to work their JJ or ground game.
Today the rules don’t let you stay on the ground and cook it… after a few seconds you must get up and it sucks, after all the work you’ve done to get there.

Nobody can replace Saku, amazing

Morph, it looked like more of a baseball slide kick to the face. It was still hilarious though because he backed up completely and did a running start. I wish they would give fighters more freedom to do their thing these days instead of refs saying “Let’s work!” in the 5 seconds between punches.

I gotta say this guy is a legend and his ground game is just so good. I just enjoy watching him fight every time, win or loose. I would love to see him fight again even though he is old now. He is still crafty and has a good chance.

Pride was the best. You saw more action and more crazy KOs in Pride than you will ever see in the UFC. The UFC might be tighter financially, but the product they put out pales in comparison to Pride.
