Andrews debut fight? Very well done, especially against someone like Sakuraba, he was calm, great shape. Looked like a veteran out there.

That rear naked choke looked impossible but Saku slid Nakahara’s head to the side and popped it in…great technique!

wow! the gracie killer will always be one of my fave fighters. that modified rear naked choke looked dangerous!

agree that it was a good performance by andrews if that was indeed his debut.

Yea that neck crank was wicked. I always love watching Sakuraba fight. He’s a legend, and he’s the classiest fighter in the sport.

Sakuraba win by submission? kinda obvious, but he seriously needs to get some more striking skills so that his takedowns aren’t so easily telegraphed. but classic sakuraba, win by submission.

That was Andrews’ debut. Good job, great fight. He gets my respect. I would much rather see a fighter tested on debut than see him handed a can to beat on.

nice choke/crank

The choke worked cause he was twisting the dudes neck and the dude knew that if he didn’t untuck his neck and turn it back to a safe angle his kneck may have snapped so when he untucked he gave up his kneck and knew it was over immediately.

The dude had a great opportunity for a guillotine when Sakura had him pushed up against the corner but he didn’t take advantage of it. A fighter with good submission knowledge would’ve taken it.

WAR SAKURABA!!!!

39 is my hero, and i can’t wait to finally see Saku vs Tamura!!!

And Nakahara displayed great balance in his take down defense against the single leg, and was able to immediately stand up once taken down a few times. Looks like he has alot of potential I’d like to see him go up against strikers like Benkei or Taei Kin

In his prime, Saku was the best pound for pound fighter of all time. Not only was he the best, he was also the most entertaining. Every MMA fan should own Pride 1-15 to watch Sakuraba’s rise to fame. Unbelievable fights from this guy, always.

It will be a sad day in MMA when the IQ Wrestler retires. He just might after he wins the Dream GP…

that was pretty good for andrews debut fight. i’m suprised he took the fight at all.
that was definately no rear naked.
that neck crankin jazz is dangerous. i sakuraba killed him. when he let go andrews was dead limp. they should allow that.
what was up with saku stoping with the knees on the ground? after landing a successful body-to-head combo why would you never attempt more knee strikes? i dont get it.

Why do people talk crap about Sakuraba? You realize most of the fighters he loses to are friggin 1-2 weight classes above him. Of course they have the power to knock him out. If they dropped weight to meet up with Sakuraba, they would lose.
