yeah i like Karo. Not many people able to use top level Judo in mma. Makes for something different. I agree that certain fighters seem to be getting looked after, but not only by officials… also by the UFC. How does Brock Lesnar get a title shot?? I know Nougeira was already signed to fight Mir, but it’s still bizare. And that goes on in all the weight divisions, some people get title shots very quickly others have to wait and wait.

He’s right. There are a lot of politics in sports right now. Pretty obvious in the Griffin/Jackson decision. And yeah, I don’t think he was really hurt in the fight with Alves, so he does have a legitimate gripe. Hopefully, he comes back and kicks some ass.

I actually thought that Karo’s last fight was stopped early. It’s hard to get a referee that is going to make the (subjective) best decision all the time. They have to jump in at exact moment something looks bad. I think that’s a little hard to do.

I do think the judges are taking naps, though.

He’s had 12 fights go to a decision in his career and only lost 3 of them, one of those being to Sean Sherk in 2000 and another to Georges St. Pierre, so basically his entire story about being screwed multiple times by judges is him treating the Diego Sanchez fight as multiple instances.

That, or the Alves fight gave him multiple personalities, all of whom lost to Diego Sanchez. Everyone is right though, and it is especially true since half his fights have gone the distance; if you don’t want the judges to screw you, don’t give them the chance.
