I am no Ben Askren fan…but I like he made no secret, what his gameplay is…he kept his hand low, and just top position ground and pound…but that was a hell of a beating…beside fitch, kosh and gsp…i really dont see how anyone can stop his takedown…..i even see kosh have some trouble with it

What’s really annoying about Askren is that he is so one dimensional. He didn’t even make an attempt to strike in the opening round. Eventually he’ll get exposed, and hurt, and he won’t be the same after that. If he encounters a Chuck Liddell type fighter that has good wrestling but is also a striker, it will be over. I would really like it if he mixes it up a bit. People complain about gsp. But what makes him exciting is that he mixes it up and is unpredictable. The beauty of watching a good mma fight is seeing all dimensions of the game. It don’t like to see a straight kickboxing match equally as a sttraight grappling match.
