When he tapped out, he did it in such a violent manner, that it looked like he was trying to punch his opponent in the kidney and escape. Tap out the right way, guy had no ground game.

Aside from the WTF reffing that was a good fight…Comming back from being choked unconcious…WTF? If you have ever been choked out it is a very unpleasant and disorienting experience.
I was expecting some terrible fighting to go along with the terrible reffing, but that was a pretty exciting fight for some bush league s***.

If I was the fighter in red I would be more upset with my corner for letting that go on, corners have thrown in the towel when a beating gets to bad so why let him continue from actually getting put out pretty brutally? And to be fair to the ref , he looked like he wanted to stop it but then the so called doctors come in and let him continue. I just don’t think the ref should get total blame.

I think in this case, the ring-side “doctor” should have called it after the kid started twitching. The rules say only that if he makes it to the end of the round and is able to fight by the beginning of the next round, the fight is on. I’ve seen KOed fighters come back from the dead to win fights, but this is the very first time I’ve seen it under MMA rules. At least, this blatantly out.

ref should give him 1 min tho not 1.5 so really he should have lost but with the confusion i can see how he got away with the extra time.
he was really out cold so i suppose on safety reasons in all honesty it should be stopped .

The fighters tap looked like body punches to me. I understand the ref not stopping the fight then.
But when the bell rang and the fighter was and remained uncounscious, the fight should have been stopped then by sub in round 1 at the 5 minute mark.

How long is the rest between rounds?
How many people can attend to a fighter during his between rounds rest?
If the fight was to continue on, past the 1st round, and into the 2nd, and further rounds, then the fighter should have been left where he laid to get up and go to his corner on his own with not assistance, and given only the regulated amount of time to recover before the beginning of the next round. No assistance. No additional people. No additional time.
And if he could not do it, then he loses.
