Yep. He DOES seem to be taking MMA more seriously.

I still kind of wonder if we can expect future meltdowns from him when the pressure gets back on. But, I have to admit, I’m impressed that he’s pressing forward, got a better game plan, got better training and came out and whooped some ass. I’d prefer NOT to see another Quinton Jackson in the UFC – it’d become too much like watching NBA “bad boys” ruin the sport. I love MMA too much to see it ruined by a bunch of brats. So, if he’s got his head screwed on straight (and the same for Jackson), then I’m thrilled to see him fight and improve.

And, as I said in an earlier post, I’m glad Extreme Couture was able to help train him and make him better. Obviously, it had a very positive effect on him.

He cant beat efrain. Thats all I have to say.

This guy could be a very dominant fighter.

Hope he uses is energy the right way from now on. So we can engoy some more entertaining fights with him.

People need to understand, he’s a fighter who started from the bottom, in “bottom” I mean that he had a rough life. So from that, it should be no surprise that he acted like an idiot on the show when he drank, the dude has issues and let his emotions get the best of him.

But I will say this, I give him tremendous respect for pulling his head out of his ass and getting back on track with an awesome win for his first UFC debut. Some guys never turn around, they just keep feeling sorry for themselves.

jUNIE is nothing more then punk that blames everyone else for his problems.There is NO excuse for being out of shape when your a fighter, also he knew he was going on the UFC tuf show so for him to be out of shape is bull crap! He claims the only reason he lost the fight was because he was out of shape and the reason he was out of shape was do to Frank Mir and the other coaches.
He better smarten up and thank Dana white for saving his life because i bet anything he would have ended up in prison if Dana would have kicked him of the show and did not give him another shot fighting in the UFC.But who knows he is only 23 so there’s plenty of time for him to F up and snap again.
Anyone that does the crap Junie did on the show cant just one day say I’m all better and never do it again,there is chemicals in his brain that either he has to much of or not enough.

Junie is a smart kid.

Somehow this kid from KY got on the main card while others with more talent couldn’t.

I think it was all a ploy. That “bad boy” appeal won’t last but it got him here. Now, he knows he needs to win fights going up the ladder.

hes a badass straight up, efrain looked a little better in the finale than he did during to show but anyone who honestly thinks he is better than junie is just ignorant but to take nothing away from efrain he is a good fighter but junie is better

Anyone who is posting saying look how much he’s changed he’s a better person, just remember that it was ‘just’ an interview. He’s obviously gonna be saying all the right things, which at least proves he’s not completely retarded. only time will tell what will become of Junie Browning.

I personally do not like him because throwing glass and lashing out was well out of order, though I hope he keeps it together and focuses on his action inside the ring…because you know what, he looked half decent in there!

Junie is Garbage when he fought efrain he got tapped out. He even considered leaving the ufc he only was used to get stupid incest children from the redneck communities and Kentucky to back him up.He fought Kaplan who was terrible on the show for his game plan. Efrain is the better fighter, and he did well under pressure Junie gave a bare minimum preformance when he fought delgado, hes trash and for yall who believe in him you need to watch some BJ Penn, GSP, Arvloski, Clay Guida, and Anderson Silva videos to re educate yourself on the sport

SEANV wtf are you talking about. If he didnt have the heart to train then why is he in Xtreme Couture? Couture’s team made sure he trained right. He proved us wrong at the finale. Your statement is fail. Even couture said he has been nothing but diligent and respectful during training.

Junie will be there forever, you know what I mean; impressive so young…You know what I mean?

While Junie does seem to have that “early Gary Bussy” look, I like this attitude now.
Just ask yourself, isn’t this guy completely honest that he was both an ass AND out of shape while he was on the show? Then he goes on and looks incredible in his first match in the UFC?
I would be the first one to take the guy to task if he came in after 3 months training at extreme couture and couldn’t make weight and gassed early in round 1, but he didn’t.

Give Junie some credit, he took a huge loss and made it into a win and extra 20k fight of the night bonus.

Murphy’s Law is a bitch. There’s too many “IF”s in this equation. “IF” he stays sober, “IF” he doesn’t flip out anymore, “IF” he takes his training seriously, “IF” he comes in shape he could be a great fighter. When you place your hopes on an “IF” 9 times out of 10 you will lose. I’m not hoping he will fail, I wish him the best of luck, but no amount of talent will ever replace hard work and dedication. (and having a little common sense wouldn’t hurt either)
