Congrats to Lawler, but I think it was a little early to stop the fight. If I had to predict what would happen had it gone on a few more seconds, I think it’s likely that Lawler would have knocked him out, but I’ve seen unlikely happen before, too. How many refs would have stopped the last Mir-Noguiera fight before Nog went for the guillotine? It even looked like Mir wouldn’t recover. I’m sure glad the ref didn’t though; we all know what happened after that…

Dont forgot Koschek also caught a knee a few moments earlier. He tried to save face and pretend he wasn’t hurt, but that was just a tactic to help him not get cut…

Herb dean one of the best refs? REALLY? He is one of the worst in calling fights in time. Apprehensive most of the time.

Premature maybe but I agree fighters need to be protected earlier than later from taking Robbie Lawler type shots esp. in that way/the way it appeared his head was bouncing off the canvas.
I also think he had had the wind taken out of his sails by the knee before going down, he looked kind of inactive and dazed before Lawler clocked him propa.

There was no illegal knee.If you drop for a single leg when the guy is throwing knee combination,it’s your fault if you get hit in the face.If you are already on the ground,then it would be illegal.It’s like if you turn your head during an exchange and get hit behind the head,it’s still your fault.How about learning the rules before calling the ref terrible.A terrible ref would see Kos eat 5 power punches without defending and let him eat 5-6 more like Mirgliotta and the fighter will have a longer time without being able to spar.The fight was over,it was just a matter of seeing Kos stunned and dazed or completely unconscious.BTW I didn’t see josh complain too much.And that’s the kind o guy who would fake getting hit by a knee so if he would’ve been ok he would’ve whined ALOT.

horrendous stoppage. Kosh was on his way to win that fight hell he was winning the round even probably after that barrage (maybe not) but Kosh beats this guy 9.5/10 times In the record books it should say TKO (referee error) that was just pitiful and embarrassing. Kosh was probably going to win this one guys.

I actually agree that Kos wasn’t quite there after the original knee. Good stoppage, he wasn’t defending himself. His hands were at collarbone level, not in front of his face.
