Congrats to Lawler, but I think it was a little early to stop the fight. If I had to predict what would happen had it gone on a few more seconds, I think it’s likely that Lawler would have knocked him out, but I’ve seen unlikely happen before, too. How many refs would have stopped the last Mir-Noguiera fight before Nog went for the guillotine? It even looked like Mir wouldn’t recover. I’m sure glad the ref didn’t though; we all know what happened after that…

And thanks for the quick upload!

welcome back Robbie. How on earth did he lose to Jake Shields?

DavidJones Says, in 2-23-2013 at 23:01:13 from

how awesome was that koshcheck tried the same game plan he did against daley but got KO, good for lawler, hes got some serious power. i cant stand koshchek, one of the most overrated guy in the ufc. and now hes down 2 in row, hahaha. with his nail polish and bleeched hair.

Good For HIm

MuffDiggler Says, in 2-23-2013 at 23:17:59 from

this stoppage is the way mma is going. Its probably a good thing given the types of knockouts that we’re starting to see.

greatstoppage Says, in 2-23-2013 at 23:30:04 from

he was just getting bombed on and not defending, i’m glad Herb Dean didn’t wait until he received further damage, great stoppage. If i was a fighter, this would be the ref i want in the cage.
Dont forgot Koschek also caught a knee a few moments earlier. He tried to save face and pretend he wasn’t hurt, but that was just a tactic to help him not get cut…

Machete Says, in 2-23-2013 at 23:35:16 from

Ha ha! That’s what Koscheck gets for trying to wall and stall.

jaydog Says, in 2-23-2013 at 23:41:03 from

Herb did josh a favor. Lawler hits like a truck and josh wasnt blocking any of those shots.

screwballhk Says, in 2-24-2013 at 00:28:04 from

That m*********** would’ve been a vegetable if Herb didn’t stop that fight.

DavidJones Says, in 2-24-2013 at 01:13:35 from

joe rogan is right, i disagree too, i wish herb dean wouldnt ref the fight; then kos would take some serious brain damage and getting stiff, that would have been hilarious, that fool lost. no controversy there.

straightAhead Says, in 2-24-2013 at 01:20:12 from

I dunno man, smells like early stoppage to me…

Herb is known to have a itchy stoppage finger and loves to pull it too soon.

lefthooklarry Says, in 2-24-2013 at 01:26:25 from

Herb dean one of the best refs? REALLY? He is one of the worst in calling fights in time. Apprehensive most of the time.

But I will say this – that was the right stoppage – he was getting cranked – why let him take one or two more of the anvils – it was over!

DrDoom Says, in 2-24-2013 at 01:29:43 from

Koscheck might go the way of Fitch…

teh new new Says, in 2-24-2013 at 01:50:52 from

looks like Koscheck was hurt by that knee. I’d love to see another angle.

right after the knee he just layed there in the fetal position and stopped trying for the takedown.

greengiant Says, in 2-24-2013 at 02:50:56 from

Just like robbie said he wasn’t going to recover.

Yomommamoto Norifumi Says, in 2-24-2013 at 03:08:52 from

Premature maybe but I agree fighters need to be protected earlier than later from taking Robbie Lawler type shots esp. in that way/the way it appeared his head was bouncing off the canvas.

I also think he had had the wind taken out of his sails by the knee before going down, he looked kind of inactive and dazed before Lawler clocked him propa.

Yomommamoto Norifumi Says, in 2-24-2013 at 03:09:43 from

Congratulations and welcome back to MMA as well for Robbie Lawler.

Darby Says, in 2-24-2013 at 09:09:30 from

Wow another fight kosckeck loses and complains about it. Go figure.

Yoplait Says, in 2-24-2013 at 09:58:54 from

He was out for a split second when the left hit him. Good stoppage.

Yelajackit Says, in 2-24-2013 at 10:08:50 from

Terrible. Was this a fight?

Yelajackit Says, in 2-24-2013 at 10:09:37 from

Don’t forget to minus a point and stand them up after that illegal knee to the head. REF WAS TERRIBLE!

pikachumanson Says, in 2-24-2013 at 10:43:23 from

That was not a early stoppage!

TheKungFuLowKick Says, in 2-24-2013 at 11:29:43 from

There was no illegal knee.If you drop for a single leg when the guy is throwing knee combination,it’s your fault if you get hit in the face.If you are already on the ground, then it would be illegal. It’s like if you turn your head during an exchange and get hit behind the head,it’s still your fault. How about learning the rules before calling the ref terrible.A terrible ref would see Kos eat 5 power punches without defending and let him eat 5-6 more like Mirgliotta and the fighter will have a longer time without being able to spar. The fight was over,it was just a matter of seeing Kos stunned and dazed or completely unconscious.BTW I didn’t see josh complain too much. And that’s the kind o guy who would fake getting hit by a knee so if he would’ve been ok he would’ve whined ALOT.

kos’ facalties Says, in 2-24-2013 at 12:27:45 from

dude I wasn’t aware Rogan, don’t be speaking for me bro.. I know u love me and kos but we were out got th wind blasted out with 2 knees and then next thing I know I am watching the budlight lime replay

herb dean Says, in 2-24-2013 at 12:30:19 from

might have fooled me with illegal knees before josh but u got fukd up this time bro

kos’ facalties Says, in 2-24-2013 at 12:33:01 from

c’mon rogan don’t e peaking for us. we were out last thing we remember was getting a stupid haircut n lawler laying down the law. then watching the bud light lime replay.

MMAgiantsilva Says, in 2-24-2013 at 12:38:03 from

horrendous stoppage. Kosh was on his way to win that fight hell he was winning the round even probably after that barrage (maybe not) but Kosh beats this guy 9.5/10 times In the record books it should say TKO (referee error) that was just pitiful and embarrassing. Kosh was probably going to win this one guys.

Vic77 Says, in 2-24-2013 at 13:30:36 from

Koscheck Gassed

howe Says, in 2-24-2013 at 15:05:17 from

I didn’t see it as early stoppage; kosheck’s head was bouncing like a basketball and no sign of defense. Anyway that was obvious to happen (the TKO): a heavy handed striker and a glass chinned wrestler…

ganga Says, in 2-24-2013 at 16:54:36 from

good stoppage! if you look kosh hand were down he wasn’t defending him self

home Says, in 2-24-2013 at 18:16:20 from

Koscheck might get released… don’t be surprised. Lawler isn’t highly rank in MMA in general as he once was.

Mag Says, in 2-24-2013 at 19:56:48 from

A little early, but nonetheless a great win by Robbie, beating a top10 guy from the UFC. Shows that Strikeforce’s talent was always up there with the UFC.

STOCKTON WHAT Says, in 2-25-2013 at 01:32:57 from

Early stoppage indeed. Herb needs to pack!

brucelee23 Says, in 2-25-2013 at 12:05:28 from

Good stoppage, Kos took 5 or 6 unanswered bkows to the head and did not try to improve position. Thumbs up Mr dean !!!

JB Says, in 2-25-2013 at 17:55:30 from

I actually agree that Kos wasn’t quite there after the original knee. Good stoppage, he wasn’t defending himself. His hands were at collarbone level, not in front of his face.

yourmomsucks Says, in 2-26-2013 at 00:23:23 from

would have liked to see koscheck take a few more shots
