UFC fighters ALWAYS want to continue. That’s why they are on TV and we are in our living room paying 40 bucks to watch them. But they aren’t in a good state of mind to make that decision. They have a career on the line. The ref did a great job of what? Letting an athlete suffer permanent damage and lose the fight anyway? This isn’t ancient Rome. The ref’s responsibility is to protect the fighters and he did a TERRIBLE job in this case.

I think the ref did a great job he let the fighters have a chance to finish the fight they just couldn’t do it and if Lytle wanted to continue let it go

LOL, yes a goat’s menstruating vagina on a heavy flow day! This fight was another good example of why headgear and elbow/knee pads should be mandatory just like gloves are now. It’s not a perfect example of why, like when the cut has no influence on the outcome of the fight and the guy who got cut ends up winning by KO or sub. Needless ugly scar tissue that opens up from nothing in the future.

I dont understand these refs now…For example, lytle’s last fight w/ thiago alves was stopped prematurely b/c of some wimpy cut on his head that wasnt even bleeding that badly. Now look at this fight, there’s blood all over his face and the ref let’s him continue. WTF?
