How can you have a televised professional sports event and not even pay them decently.Seriously 1k for 3 months of training??I haven’t counted but I’m sure they haven’t even spent 250k for 18 fighters. That’s horrible pay.People working at burger king get paid more then that.I understand a small promotion paying their guys 1k a fight but this is on NBC sports.Obviously the UFC aren’t the only ones ripping off their fighters. What’s next Fitch gets cut from WSOF and makes a video about how they don’t pay fighters?

well i think Jon Fitch got paid way to much he don’t give a s*** anymore and he obviously has something to fall back on. I mean GSP beat the snot out of Fitch and he kept coming now if he touched he quits right then. You got to fight like the dude just took your kids last meal away and gave it to their kid because that is what is happening and that would motivate me to kill not fall and hola where is my check.Fitch is a great fighter but his head is in his butt i guess and he is hard to market as it is because he is not the cutest pup in the litter you know.

I think this will actually make Fitches next fight more marketable, because you don’t know what will happen.

Fitch got overpaid for his performance.

Personally I find it a bit comical and ironic how these guys openly complained about the UFC but now they’re in a promotion that is even worse in terms of what they complained about.

Fitch was talking about how much money he made then said it wasn’t about money, but he’s making way less now.

Look at Volkmann, he said the UFC’s health insurance sucked but now he’s in a company that doesn’t even have health insurance.

I don’t want to say anything really negative about them so I’m only bringing up the situation in comparison to what they’ve said. No need to rub salt in wounds.

Anyone who is reasonably going to end up as a middle of the road fighter should probably stick to their dayjobs and just accept the fact that they got into this sport 10 years too early.

Just because other promotions pay schit does not mean that the UFC is above scorn. Fitch was responding to UFC propaganda against him concerning pay and he made a relative pay argument,i.e., the difference between how much the UFC brought in vs how much they paid out is WAY higher than whatever the ratio on the WSOF. Sure the UFC can point to this argument as proof that their brand is what is selling fights but it is still disgraceful and dishonest
