not very surprised. kharitonov has never shown any skill when it comes to being mounted or in side mount, so when barnett took him down i knew he was screwed.

Well, it was fun while it lasted…
But Comier actually made this tourney interesting again. He might be the only one who can wrestle with Barnett and he does have some heavy hands. It should be a very interesting final.

Good job Barnett. He proved me wrong on this one. His striking surprised me AND Sergi no doubt.
The Finals will be very interesting. I wonder if Barnett can take Daniel down? I dont think Barnett has ever fought a wrestler on the level as Daniel… Also, how good is Daniel’s sub defense? Even before all of that: Daniel improves exponentially with each fight so the next time we see him (assuming he hasn’t already reached his ceiling)he will be even better than he was tonight. This one is a tough call. I think i will go for Daniel just for the underdog-out-of-nowhere sake that Daniel is.

Barnett will always be the Baby Faced Assassin, LOL at Dan Miragliotta having a go at Josh! I have always thought that Josh needed to be back in the UFC, he would mix things up and get his fare share of wins, I don’t see him as HWT champ in UFC again but it would still be nice to have him there to change the landscape a bit.

Barnett is going to take Cormier out, end of story. Cormier’s story is a nice one and he does have great hands and wrestling. However, Barnett is a very intelligent and experienced fighter that can defeat DC in any position. Barnett by sub in the second round.

I heard that next to nobody showed up for this event, and most of the people who did show were comped. I still don’t see this tourney ever getting completed. Cormier and Barnett will fight at UFC 150:Unfinished Business, for a #1 contenders slot. That’s my hunch.

I was there… the attendance was at a disgraceful level. That said, it was a fun, solid card from start to finish, 5 full hours of quality fighting. I was hoping for some decent merchandise, and ended up very disappointed with that, as well. You would think you could buy a Barnett shirt or a Kharitonov shirt, but no dice. No King Mo girls dancing, either. Fun but very disappointing crowd.

Josh barnett is the best heavyweight in my eyes. Hes a big heavyweight with the best technique and knows what hes doing. If you look at the fight stats on this fight hes overal 84 percent which is elite.
