I thought Barnett fought that fight pretty smart. Standing and banging was working for him from the get go so he kept it that way right till the end, and as J said, he saw Rizzo react to the first right and exploded.

If you’re wondering why the crowd gets all loud for seemingly no reason starting at 4:00 of the second round, there was a pretty sweet chick fight in the stands… all the whistling and jeers are for those broads.

It actually made most of our section miss the knockout.

Great movement by Barnett to set up the KO…that’s exactly what Dave Terrell did to KO Matt Lindland..excellent footwork…surprised more fighters don’t practice this…sweet revenge for Barnett (and as we all know, revenge is a dish best served cold- in this case, a cold knockout)

Barnett is the MAN. Easily one of the most underrated fighters in my book, doesn’t ever seem to get the recognition or fame that a lot of other guys do. When is he gonna get his shot at Fedor? If anyone can do it its BARNETT the baby faced assassin

Above it all, he is just a cool guy, All American type, whoopin ass for years and aint gettin no love. He looks to be in the best shape of his life! good things for josh down the road i think. I sure hope he doesnt fight Fedor though… dont fancy his chances on that 1

Completely devastating left hook, Barnett has his revenge. Rizzo got a little nap in after the fight, but he started sleeping before he was on the ground.

To alfredunhill, you said that you’re surprised that more fighters don’t practice this. I don’t know if you’ve boxed before but the jab, right cross, then left hook is the most basic combination in boxing. I can assure you that every fighter who trains stand up would have thrown that combination at least 1000’s of times on the pads and on their sparring partners.
