Pride fight video of Josh Barnett versus Aleksander Emelianenko at PRIDE – Total Elimination Absolute.

Back in May of 2006 these two put on a great fight that saw Barnett stay on his feet with Emelianenko much longer than expected.

Great patience displayed by Barnett. This is how you take down a superb fighter like Emelianenko. If you had seen him shoot earlier on in the fight he would have definitely failed and just burned himself out. Well done by both of them, great finish.

WTFDUDE, just what I was going to comment on. Black Gerbil has no clue who Fedor is, he just likes to slam him as he’s stuck on the best fighters were always in the UFC.

Josh Barnett is a stud and anyone who watched Pride knows that. He’s the only fighter to have a win over Noguiera aside from Fedor, and he’s knocked out Randy Couture.

I love the skill sets this guy has and I’d love to see him in the UFC.

Aleksander Emelianenko biggest problem has always been his lack of energy as the fight goes on, if he could take his training way more seriously he would be extremely deadly

Well Aleks was clearly dominating Barnett till Josh managed to get Emilianenko Jr to the ground and then the match was another story .

Barnett controlled Aleks pretty well over there and hurted him with vicious knees before going twice for the kimura and managing to get it properly the second time .

The end came out pretty fast though but great win for the best American MMA HW
