Bellator’s CEO Bjorn Rebney talks about the pluses and minuses of each fighter that Bellator may want to sign in the near future.
Is this because of Barnett’s previous steroid issues?
Prob because he one of the most boring fighters. No stand up just takedowns to hold to submission. If no submission then just hold.
Bellator’s heavyweight division is so lackluster they would be stupid not to have a top 10 heavyweight involved. If Barnett tested positive then they could just scrap that awful division like they should anyways or perhaps that is already their plan.
humboldtrep Josh has 27 finishes out of 32 wins. He is a solid fighter and he stand up is decent at worst. Also he is pretty well spoken and can sell a fight and get ppls interest
Why Rampage? So they can hype his name and watch him underperform in His twilight?
Josh’s stand-up is the worst decent, not decent at worst.
Not a Barnett fan at all but for Bellator not to want him is ridiculous. He can only add a little credibility to an otherwise horrific heavyweight division.
This guy sounds like he doesn’t have a plan.
josh barnett is a legend you mofos. mma noobs
How he can be so excited about signing Mo Lawal and not make a move on Josh Barnett is hard to believe.
I wonder if the problem is Barnett’s asking price. Maybe he’ll go to Japan (where he’s really happy and they don’t test for steroids). He can make bank over there fighting bums.
The only concern I’d have, as a promoter, would be steroid-related. He’s been busted a couple of times, and he arguable killed Affliction when his positive steroid test made them drop his fight with Fedor.
