Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall vs. Joseph Benavidez in a flyweight bout at UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on February 2nd, 2013.

Great fight, but I always see Uncle Creepy being more interested in making faces and showing off than actually fighting. Benavidez looked really good with his striking. His timing is getting better, he only needs to be more technical instead of throwing only bombs. If he mixes the bombs with some jabs and straights he can take on Mighty Mouse.
looked like Benavidez won but not 30-27
@iway, all the judges scored it 29-28. You could maybe have called it a draw. First round was pretty even. But I think the 29-28 judging was correct.
Not sure which fight you watched Pit (ftw your analysis are usually spot on) but I found this fight to be extremely boring even more so than Rashad and Nog since I understood the reason they were so hesitant it was due to both being such high level guys. These guys carried very little threat of actually inflicting damage and getting a KO and still fought ultra timid and almost scared to fight to an extent. I feel Mccall (whom I have never thought to be very good especially not elite.) got hit once or twice and than skipped hopped and moved the rest of the fight due to being scared of Benavidez’s power. And Benavidez also did very little because he has a hard time fighting from his back so he wanted to make sure the fight stayed upright. At least Joseph came to fight lord knows what Ian was doing in there. Anyways I guess we finally disagree lol. I agree though Mccall spends too much time trying to be entertaining and smiling at the other guy. If Kongo was smiling at Pat Barry so much he would’ve been the won knocked out instead of the guy knocking Barry out.
Time for uncle creepy to get cut!
Ian didnt wanna fight…..
Boring midgets. Lots of bouncing around, but no damage.
