How could the crowd boo this fight?! I like seeing fights finished as much as the next guy, but this is one of the most exciting fights to go the distance I’ve ever seen. And, to quote Joe Rogan, “That duck-under is just stupid!” lol.

This was two boring fighters putting on a boring fight. The problem is that between Johnson and Benavidez have a combined 15 decision victories out their last 20 fights in the WEC/UFC. Johnson is essentially the John Fitch of the flyweight division.

this fight was not very exciting, I think it was not all the fact that they are tiny but because neither took risks. Benavidez fought not to lose and MM worked the stick and move game to perfection although that is not very crowd entertaining. Overall a let down for me. However, boos were not justified it is not like they ran away from each other. They just didnt want to take too many risks in a championship bout. I kinda get it from Benavidez’s stand point also he was afraid to take risks because when he would commit he would get popped 3-4 times by a much faster guy.

The fight was good, but not that great. These guys are amazing grapplers, but average strikers and they chose to strike most of the fight. The 4th round was epic, though, exactly because they engaged on what they do best.
