They should have thrown Kimbo in to deal with Jose…it would be more of a freak show, but at least then it wouldn’t take away from HMC’s credibility.

I partied a couple of times with Jose. We got in a fight with a couple guys at the bar. Jose hit the guy one time and the guy dropped like a rock. He was much better then and we were showing off for the girls that were with us.

The “this hurts MMA” comments are BS though. How does it hurt MMA to put a well known, extremely strong athlete in the ring and show that he can’t compete with even a mediocer MMA practitioner? Doesn’t that offer MMA some credibility? The fact is, no one like Jose Canseco would even think of stepping into a boxing ring with a proven boxer. Every fight like this brings MMA one step closer to earning that same respect.

Canseco is a big, big man 6-4 250ish – yet he looked tiny next to this behemoth. Someone needs to stop Jose from embarrassing himself further – and yet at this point, does it really matter? Canseco was always a buffoon, but he has become a one man freakshow.
