Its as if something is missing. Log in to Reply TheKungFuLowKick February 3, 2013 That was a good decision.Aldo clearly won 1 and 2.The 3ed was close but he still won it.The 4th is the only round Frankie clearly won. Log in to Reply PitfighterZ February 3, 2013 First time in a while that I watch a fight with sound… Joe Rogan is a biased clown. He kept talking about how Frankie was winning the fight while Aldo was smashing his face with jabs and chopping off his legs. I maybe crazy, but I agree with two judges that Aldo won rounds 1, 2, 3, and 5. Edgar is a tough fighter, but being tough doesn’t score points. He needs to learn some way to cause damage, although that will probably affect his movement speed. Log in to Reply Young February 3, 2013 Kungfu? Even if Frankie took him down 3 times within rounds 2-4 and Frankie was landing more. Frankie just got beat up that first round and had his face a mess already. Frankie had that fight to me, very close fight depending on the last round Log in to Reply T'Challa February 3, 2013 Good.. no more Frankie rematches.. send him down to 135. Jose Aldo is a mini Anderson Silva, and Brazil is running MMA right now.. Log in to Reply jaydog February 3, 2013 I said Aldo 1/2. Edgar 3 (barely)/4/5. However, if you’re gonna take the belt; you can’t barley win rounds. You gotta take em from the champ. Log in to Reply DavidJones February 3, 2013 aldo won the rounds 10-9, what ever round frank edgar won if he won was like a 10-9.75, so either way, aldo won, just the fact that some morons call it controversial is annoying, its not, aldo could have done and should have done more, but he won easily. Log in to Reply MarkNguyen February 3, 2013 awesome fight! frankie never gave up and thats what made this FOTN Log in to Reply mmafan11 February 3, 2013 Good fight. Petis vs Aldo will be a Super Fight. Petis by spinning 360 flying double Ninja kick off the top of the fence this time Log in to Reply ganga February 3, 2013 Frenkie got robbed!! Log in to Reply Thxer February 3, 2013 49-46, wtf?I was going for Jose, but who the hell would give him round 4 or 5? Log in to Reply ThatDude February 3, 2013 Robbery Log in to Reply Millcat February 3, 2013 Good for aldo…but its got to be a little bit of a mind F@ck though when a guy takes your best for 2 rounds and then turns it around in the third and then has you on your heels for the 4th and 5th…what if there were 7 rds…or fight to the finish??? or no time limit…or pride rules…10min and 5 min overtime…aldo won the sport fight but once again showd that he is a 3 round fighter. Log in to Reply hugemidget February 4, 2013 these judges are brutal, rounds 1&2 were aldo, 4&5 frankie, round 3 was a toss up. Why the judges only gave him 1 round is incredible. Log in to Reply DrDoom February 4, 2013 A dry kick boxing match… Log in to Reply Bro Down February 4, 2013 Wow Frankie wins again, but was robbed, I smell rematch! 1 & 2 Aldo, 3 4 & 5 Edgar. 3rd is debatable based on damage. Log in to Reply gripman February 4, 2013 I scored it 48-47 with Edgar winning the last 3 by traditional scoring rules. In that regard, Aldo lost. However, I think the sport needs half points to compensate fighters who have more power or to barely give an edge in a close round. With half points, Aldo would clearly be the winner. Frankie’s tip taps with no power is why most of us prefer the heavy weights. Log in to Reply genkimachina February 4, 2013 5 for Frankie. Do we score fights based on who is getting hit or whose feet or moving more? Frankie looked fresher but Aldo was clearly winning the exchanges. Log in to Reply mr.jingles February 4, 2013 with all due respect, but some of you people know absolutely nothing about the sport… frankie won 1 round. what else did he do apart from swinging like a fairy? not much. such bad losers.. Log in to Reply On Tape February 4, 2013 Thanks Bruno! Log in to Reply woaditi February 4, 2013 exactly mrjingles, this is a sport and it has to be scored round by round. people saying Frankie did not do enough to win rounds 3 and 5, tell me something… what did aldo do to win those rounds? edgar pushed and controled the pace and landed more in the last 3 rounds regardless of how dominant aldo was in the first 2. Log in to Reply Nexstory February 5, 2013 Edgar scored aggressively in 4 and 5. It looked as if he turned the tides in 3 as well. I like Gripman’s idea of half point scoring for damage. That makes great sense. Log in to Reply mr.jingles February 5, 2013 Frankie clearly won rounds 4 & 5.watch round 3 again. Aldo was more efficient. what should frankie do, move down again? poor poor Frankie, such a small fella. Log in to Reply Tempted February 5, 2013 I watched a draw, but to beat the champ you have to be a clear winner and Frankie didn’t clearly win. Log in to Reply Young February 5, 2013 I swear people who watch this fight and agree that Frankie wasn’t doing anything clearly don’t know anything about fighting. By mid 1st round Frankie’s face was bloody and red and his leg was already bruised. You can’t win a whole match based off a bloody nose in the first round. Frankie took him Down and slammed the shit out of him and hit him with combos standing up. Aldo was striking the whole time he didn’t drop Frankie or take him down or anything. The same people saying Frankie had no chance would be saying the same for aldo if Edgar won, fake ass people Log in to Reply Young February 5, 2013 If he is the best and he Frankie had no chance he would have at LEAST dropped him but guess what he didn’t even do that. Log in to Reply woaditi February 5, 2013 People need to GTFO with that “you have to take the belt BS”. If that was the case then Frankie should have never lost that belt to Henderson. Log in to Reply kob February 6, 2013 t’challa, Brazil is running mma right now? Don’t think so. Check out the ratings on sherdog. USA clearly is running mma right now. Log in to Reply vsmoove February 6, 2013 I just watched the fight with the sound off and Aldo clearly won in my opinion… Edgar had a good performance but he was hit with big shots… he was only saved by his chin. It wasn’t a wipeout by any means but he didn’t do enough to win. Aldo landed the harder and more consistent shots. Log in to Reply Rio_Warrior February 8, 2013 Edgard won? A draw? Frank got beat the **** down people dont be delusional Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
