Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar At UFC 156 On Super Bowl Weekend

UFC president Dana White says the much sought after featherweight title fight will take place on the promotion’s Super Bowl Saturday card next year which is slated for Feb. 2, 2013, in Las Vegas. The news was first reported on FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight.”




The fight card will be called UFC 156, not UFC 157, which has been misreported by others, according to UFC officials.

Frankie Edgar (14-3-1), who will be making his UFC featherweight debut, is coming off two straight lightweight title losses to Benson Henderson earlier this year.

this is going to be a mismatch, i think Frankie will end up getting tko’d in this fight by knees and punches….and for those who heard that GSP lists Frankie as his top p4p fighter, remember that GSP uses psychological warfare, and he does it well…his p4p comment was designed to get under the skin of Anderson Silva, just like when he was going to fight Nick Diaz and Diaz mentioned he was struggling financially, GSP puts out a video showing how much money he has..all my opinion but i’m right ha ha

Only person who can lose a fight and get a title shot. Should be a good fight. Seeing that Edgar will be fighting someone his own size.

I love Frankie but you shouldn’t be able to move to a different weight class and get an immediate title shot. There’s other fighters out there that have worked there way up the ladder that deserve a title shot more.

Damnit Lazer, I totally disagree. I can see the logic when an elite fighter gets an immediate title shot in a lower weight class. Not so much in a higher weight class though like Chael. But even in that case, long story short, pretty much no one wants fight bones so fukc’m.
