Unfortunate ending I suppose KZ will need surgery if he doesn’t it would still be wise to get it.

Aldo was doing his thing though, he was fighting an excellent fight.

dubg Says, in 8-4-2013 at 01:56:00 from

well, thats good that Aldo didn’t beat the Zombie. The Zombie beat himself.

Genghis Khan Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:10:19 from

Damn, just when the Zombie was starting to bring it. Hope he gets a rematch later on in his career

PertAndPopular Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:10:19 from

Those knees Korean zombie threw could have ended the fight. I thought it was a pretty good fight, might have been slow, but that could have been anyone’s fight, in the sense of a knockout.

Doyle Brunson Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:20:04 from

Shitty ending. Zombie would have easily stuck out the last 2 rounds if he didnt blow out his shoulder.

kick high Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:21:08 from

I think Aldo should rematch him. Zombie was too bottled up in the first round. Zombie was just starting to look good before the injury. A second fight would be a battle.

Nambo Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:21:32 from

The kick to the already injured shoulder was unnecessary. But hey, they’re not baking cupcakes in there after all.

Nambo Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:22:13 from

and Kudos to KZ for not tapping out

STFUd0rks Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:25:20 from

Why the fk would he get surgery if he does not need it? Ever been injured aside for a sore wrist from jerking off? just STFU; You mma “FANS” who couldn’t run a mile to save your life let alone decide someones future… lol fking dorks

David Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:27:09 from

I would have had more respect for Aldo if he let Zombie pop his shoulder back in. Attack a guy with a separated shoulder seems cheap to me. Aldo even admitted he was going after the shoulder. Hope Zombie comes back stronger, he seemed to pick it up right when he got hurt.

blow Says, in 8-4-2013 at 02:55:22 from

i dont know,i think aldo was slowly getting in trouble.every time i see him fight he looks like hes goin to puke after 3 rounds.

kalika Says, in 8-4-2013 at 04:07:51 from

Why celebrate like that when the guy was injured.?

Jaydog Says, in 8-4-2013 at 04:11:21 from

Excellent fight?? The first round was boring by both but he took it. He had some ground work in the second and started tiring and was gassed by the end of the third getting smacked around by KZ at the end. The fourth was KZ switching momentum and then boom goes the shoulder. s*** happens, I get it. He showed zero class going straight for the disfigured shoulder when the fight would’ve been stopped anyways (like Silva vs Cote). Then he ran around like he got KO of the Night. Classless behavior of a champion… and I picked Aldo to win the fight. Aldo got saved by a freak accident cuz he wasnt gonna be able to handle more of KZ’s shots. JMO.

rockstarzee Says, in 8-4-2013 at 04:25:01 from

i think that the zombie was starting to take over to be honest. he hurt aldo at the end of the 3rd and aldo fell on him. he was getting pretty tired too. very technical fight. kind of a dirty ending tho. i would think aldo should have stopped to see if he was ok. if his shoulder is out its a tko anyway right? they wouldnt have said pop it in and keep going…?

Dave Says, in 8-4-2013 at 04:30:13 from

you could clearly see that also was slowing down, too bad the zombie got injured, this one crazy painful injury for any of you don’t know.

Mario Says, in 8-4-2013 at 08:18:07 from

I think Zombie was winning based on damage not by takedown points which Aldo couldnt do anything with them. You have to go back and watch again without listening to brian stan. Aldo gets hit several times where he’s dazed. Whenever Aldo hits zombie with a little jab brian stan says something on it when Jung hits Aldo hard Stan says nothing. Once or twice is like ok thats fine but it was biased. Watch again Aldo kind of gets a messed up on the feet.

Joker Says, in 8-4-2013 at 09:50:16 from

I saw fear in Aldo, the zombie was coming. Would of love to c the 5th round.

Eccentric J Says, in 8-4-2013 at 10:09:43 from

Did no one else notice the large lump on Aldo’s foot? He wasn’t throwing leg kicks till the end when he knew he had it won. This wasn’t full Aldo, he was injured. The fact that he already seemed to know what he could do with his foot, I would say Aldo was hurt prior and hiding it since he probably lied to the fight commission to get cleared to fight.

Aldo without leg kicks is Ali without a jab. Aldo didnt have a outside attack, So the Zombie stood outside and pot shotted Aldo. I disagree with Mario, I think Aldo was successfull with the counter punching which is why Zombie was not his normal aggressive self. Zombie used good tactics and stayed safe outside, but I don’t think he did any damage to Aldo.

Ozinator Says, in 8-4-2013 at 11:35:14 from

I’m happy to read a lot of these comments. I was worried that because of the poor announcing, people would be thinking, “yeah, it ended on injury, but Aldo was going to win anyway”. I don’t blame Aldo for kicking the shoulder but celebrating after the “win” and treating it like he was winning anyways was classless. Were he a man, he would have said he was tiring and getting hurt and offer a rematch. Brian Stann should go to Syria

jj Says, in 8-4-2013 at 12:13:25 from

Zombie wasn’t doing s***. He was down 3 rounds to none Aldo would have won regardless. Aldo landed more combinations and his jabs were doing the trick. There was no damage done by Zombie. He is lucky Aldo had a foot injury or he would have been seeing some serious leg kicks.

p*********** Says, in 8-4-2013 at 12:49:40 from

charnc1122 Says, in 8-4-2013 at 12:51:24 from

Like one other poster on here said – why was he celebrating so much when he basically won because the other guy got hurt?

p*********** Says, in 8-4-2013 at 12:52:08 from

And as much as I like KZ, his stand up f****** sucks and he didn’t wine 1 second of that fight. If you think he did, you’re completely retarded

Stan Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:11:00 from

Disappointing end. Would have liked to see how Rounds 4 & 5 played out since Zombie seemed to have turned the tide and Aldo appeared to be fading.

But then again, Aldo injured his foot in the first round, so the whole fight is a bit of a wash.

Zombie feeds off of his opponents’ vibes, and gets more aggressive when they do. Aldo wasn’t aggressive because he hurt his foot.

A rematch will be fun if it happens sometime down the line. But for now, let Zombie heal up and fight some other people. No need to ramp up a rematch right away.

stannishorrible Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:13:10 from

I have to admit after watching the fights from this event that Brian Stann is a horrible commentator. Far too biased. Overlooks the work of the challenger/underdog and clearly overshoots the favorite. Its like in the Machida fight when he was going crazy over the first round flurry when clearly on the replay you can see that most of the shots missed. Please dont bring him back again…..

casyboy Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:20:40 from

Aldo was fading bigtime! and Kz was coming on hard… if i saw my opponent throw out his shoulder like that i would not have the heart to kick him there, unnecessary. low blow. if i was aldo i would not feel good about win… bring on Lamas so he can trample this fool!!!

KungFuLowKick Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:36:40 from

Yeah he should also give KZ a water break and a massage break… This isn’t f****** tennis, it’s a fight. It’s no cheap to attack an injury that happened in the fight. You want the champ to let the guy replacece his shoulder?? What’s next, when a guy eats a leg kick, you don’t want the fighter to kick him on the leg again because it might be injured?? Or when a guy gets rocked you would want the other fighter to let him recover before punching him again because it would be cheap?

KZ doesn’t deserve a rematch. He was the easiest fight Jose had. He threw not more then 20 strikes and he might have landed 4 max. 2 failed flying knees doesn’t make you elligible for a rematch…

KungFuLowKick Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:38:37 from

What fight did you watch. Zombie landed not more then 4 strikes in 4 rounds…He missed two flying knees and got taken down for it. I don’t know what damage you are talking about. There was none. KZ kept eating jabs ans combos and landed nothing. Please expalain to me how KZ did more damage?

KungFuLowKick Says, in 8-4-2013 at 13:42:12 from

Couldn’t agree more. What fight did these dumbasses watch to say KZ was winning? He failed 2 flying knees and didn’t land a solid punch the whole fight. he landed maybe 4 punches cleanly. Like the idiots saying he shouldn’t clebrate. Why the F*** woul he not celebrate?? He just dominated a guy for 4 rouns without taking damage with an injured foot. These guys would knock out a drunk paraplegic in the street and they would celebrate like Forrest Griffin. Like you said unuscccesful people being jealous because the most important thing they ever won is a Call of Duty game on Xbox…

MMAgiantsilva Says, in 8-4-2013 at 15:06:36 from

How dumb could you possibly be. Never had the injury he had yet manage to call everyone pussies (well not everyone just me since I said it).

Aldo was up 3-0 with a broken foot from the first. Those saying it was a “Low blow” kicking KZ’s injured shoulder, its a damn fight you do what ever you have to do to win. It wasn’t cheap, and the celebration is fine he puts a lot of money time and heart in to this fight and to come out on top what do you expect? Go hate some more.

Ozinator Says, in 8-4-2013 at 17:46:32 from

some straw man going on here. Not sure anyone here is saying KZ won a single round. What they ARE saying is that he was damaging Aldo. and was also tiring. 4 strikes in four rounds??? Why say such nonsense when we all have at our fingertips the evidence? In the third round, KZ landed 8 significant strikes compared to Aldo’s 3. And they were HURTING Aldo- who still probably won the round through position humping before a stand-up by Herb. Think there is some projection going on with calling people out for hating (unless it’s at me for hating on Stann for being a kunt lol)

so it’s cheap kicking the arm but its not cheap when somebody’s whole nervous system is going into shock to punch them, what a load of crap. Punching someone in the head is 10 times worse than a dislocated shoulder. Think about what you are saying ffs

kimba007 Says, in 8-4-2013 at 20:35:35 from

The fight up until the injury was a chess match. The announcing was horrible. Too bad Joe Rogan does not like to travel to Brazil. Brian stann’s “KZ is losing decisively” after the third round bell sucked. Kenny Florian kept announcing how the KZ should step up the tempo because that is not how you beat Aldo (if you step it up against Aldo you will make a mistake, just ask Mendez) and how Aldo wilters in the later rounds was also bad. Announcing should be exciting if not acurate. Kenny had his chance and he should never have been in the same ring with the class of Aldo, Aldo whipped Kenny’s butt and fight was never a cliff-hanger because we all knew what the outcome was going to be. KZ’shoulder did not pop out immwdiately after hitting Aldo in the back of the head, it popped out after the miss, KZ’s arm was over extended and Aldo’s counter left hook to the shoulder popped it (watch the tape). The fight until the injury pretty much even. The reason why Aldo was not his usual self is because the caliber of his opponent and likewise for the Korean. It was a Chess match. Here is a fact, we will never know until the REMATCH! Aldo and the KZ have never shown so much respect for their opponents like this match. This is coming from someone that has watched almost every UFC fight since 1991..not inclding K1 and all the other similar leagues.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 8-4-2013 at 20:37:18 from

Round 1: Aldo lands many hard jabs, 3 solid right hands and 1 kick. Jung landed 1 leg kick and one punch after his feint takedown and he missed a bunch of punches. To me 1 weak strike after a takedown attempt and 1 leg kick are not significant strikes.

Round 2: They both land a good punch on each other around 4:15. Then Aldo keeps landing jabs , a couple of body shots and a good right hand. KZ threw many shots and missed all of them except the right hand but he got slammed seconds after that.

Round 3: KZ throws a flying knee, fails and gets taken down and clinched on the cage. They seperate he lands a good punch, then they clinch again and get sperated. KZ throws a combo that gets blocked except the left hook, then he throws a flying knee that missed.

Round 4: KZ throws a bunch of strikes that miss or get blocked but he catches aldo with a good left hook/jab when Aldo is comming in. Then a couple of seconds later, Jung dislocates his shoulder. Aldo landed a jab and a small overhand then he finished KZ after the injury.

So that makes 0 SIGNIFICANT strikes in round 1, 2 sig strikes in round 2. 2 in round3 and 2-3 in round 4. So sorry not he didn’t land 4 significant strikes he landed around 7-8 in the wole fight. That’s such a big difference. The keyword was significant. A leg kick that doesn’t make the leg move or a punch that doesn’t make the head move are LANDED strikes, but not significant. I don’t know where you saw Aldo getting hurt. The 7-8 strikes landed with impact, but Aldo was never hurt. He might have tired out in round 4and 5 but we don’t know that. And by the rate of 2 solid strikes landing per round, KZ would’ve never finished him. He would’ve still lost 3 rounds to 2 even IF aldo would’ve gassed in the last 2 rounds which he didn’t.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 8-4-2013 at 20:42:43 from

Also a pucnh hitting the arm then hitting the head is not landed strike, but fight metric seems to still count them. I don’t trust fight metric, it’s not perfect. In one fight they said there were no significant kicks landed, but in the highlights we clearly saw 2 good leg kicks and a body kick. And other times a guy block most strikes but they still count them.

mma made easy Says, in 8-4-2013 at 22:09:17 from

Skipped big chunks of the fight. Kicking an injury is okay for a fighter – until the dude taps, he is the bad guy. You give them an “honorable defeat” if they want one.

MMAgiantsilva Says, in 8-4-2013 at 22:11:10 from

I am more of a Zombie fan than an Aldo fan and I am embarrassed by a lot of your comments. Aldo was winning most of that fight. Zombie had some moments but didn’t win a round yet.

It is funny a lot of you that complain about judging are way way worse at judging fights than the actual judges you guys are bashing lol.

Schtuppin’ Hawking The F*ing Genius Says, in 8-4-2013 at 22:42:09 from

Love the Zombie. But he wasn’t as aggressive as normal…cuz he was standing across from a guy who will rip you a new a hole if you make a mistake.

Completely disagree that KZ was winning or starting to win or if they’d have just had a complete 4th and 5th round or any of that garbage.

Aldo, with an injured foot, was beating KZ handily and there was no trend favoring Zombie.

I hate to see any fighter get hurt, but Kudos to both guy for fighting through the pain.

I’d like to see the Zombie fight someone a little more “human” than Aldo at 145.

I’d like to see Aldo try his luck at 155. Aldo/Henderson would be most awesome.

I don’t get y all these people r crying over what Aldo did? Last time I check its a combat sports, u go in there to hurt your opponent and win at all cause legally of course. He has the right to kick any injured part of his opponent cuz it’s his job. This isn’t hockey where they pretend to fight, when they should really be trying to put the puck into the net. This is a combat sport u r pay to hurt the other guy. Also your’re lying if u say the 5th round wouldn’t gotten interesting if KZ didn’t get injuried.

Anyways my shoulder used to pop out of socket and I would throw it back in whenever it gets to the point when it is coming out often and you know it may come out during physical activity it 1. limits you 2. you probably need to look into surgery.

As KZ did which makes that guy’s comment even more childish and illogical the fact of the matter is I would assume I am way more of an athlete than that guy could ever imagine being but I am not here to prove myself as a macho man online as some are lol.

When anybody says Aldo was dominating Jung I seriously dont see that in the fight as far as damage goes. Dominating based off what? Hugging Jung for almost the whole third round? All I see is Aldo getting one take down and doing nothing with it and going for more and Jung always gets back up. Then Aldo eats some big punches from Jung in late second and third. Anybody that say Aldo was dominating was payed to say that or is just a Aldo slave nut hugger. Wake up and watch the fight again.
