Seems like part of the crowd starts booing and whistling when they see it…? Something football-related? Brazilians, we need your input!? Log in to Reply Newfie Jitsu January 18, 2012 yeah I’ve been wondering what they were booing at. good to know. can anyone fill us in? i wonder if he even knew what flag he even grabbed. hahaha anyways that was intense!! so much energy from them Brazilian’s! Log in to Reply Peter Griffin January 18, 2012 The flag he’s holding in the end corresponds to Rio’s soccer team Flamengo. And yes, the crowd is boing and whistling when they see it…. The reason for that crowd behavior may be that in Rio we have others 3 big soccer teams. Also, the crowd had fans for others states of Brazil. Log in to Reply axl782 January 18, 2012 THATS FLAMENGO FUTBOL TEAM FLAG Log in to Reply Brucutu January 18, 2012 They are cheering “É campeão” that means “It’s champion”, very typical in our soccer stadium indeed. The flag is related to Flamengo soccer club (Aldo’s sponsor), and you can read in it “Torcida Jovem”, wich literally means “Young Supporters”, the biggest Flamengo fan group. Log in to Reply Samwise January 18, 2012 It’s the flag for gay pride. Log in to Reply steven harper January 18, 2012 I am wondering what father Dana said to Aldo after that. “do not do that again” . Dana is so square that I can almos hear him saying that. I think that was really cool and I don’t think the security of the UFC knew how to handle it. They pull Aldo really hard almost like he was a criminal. Log in to Reply Jp January 18, 2012 He’s a ROCK STAR! Log in to Reply 1999 January 18, 2012 that was amazing. i watched this fight live and i got emo when he ran into the crowd, the real peoples champ Log in to Reply Leone Azevedo January 18, 2012 By the way… Jose Aldo is in fact a Big Fan of FLAMENGO SOCCER CLUB… he always goes to the stadium to watch the games… They are boing case there is a lot of animosity and rivalty between the other 3 soccer clubs in RIO (VASCO DA GAMA, BOTAFOGO and FLUMINENSE). Log in to Reply ramrod January 18, 2012 what is funny its like he melts into that crowd i wanna see footage of him actually running out the cage its soooo fast Log in to Reply Common Sense! January 18, 2012 Am I the only one that thought “What a douche bag” when I saw it? Jumping into the the crowd and running around like an idiot (or Macaco) which is a Brazilian word for “Monkey”. Now I can’t wait for him to get his ass kicked… Log in to Reply Cyclonex January 19, 2012 He ran into the crowd after getting rid of something illegal. Log in to Reply jack.perpetual January 19, 2012 Yeah, I think you are the only one. Log in to Reply emogrom January 19, 2012 @Samwise Agree!!! Log in to Reply que January 19, 2012 I thought it was premeditated, gratuitous and forced so yeah he was a d-bag. I dont like Mendes but all I could think was damn Aldo was going to get slammmed but he grabbed the fence in mid air and everyone pretends it didnt happen. I wouldnt even care but dont run around and celebrate when you basically got lucky there. I am not even an Aldo hater i just cant believe no one else points it out. Youre all on the hype Brazillian thirdworld rules bandwagon well I hate f’n cheaters so y’all can suck it!! Some one is gonna die at one of these Rio events, there i said it first. Log in to Reply Rio_Warrior January 19, 2012 The only big soccer team in Rio de Janeiro is the one and only BANGU. Log in to Reply sbmystiso January 19, 2012 So intense!! God, I love this sport.
