Gurgel did a good job standing up, but still, it was a very dumb thing to do. He could have beaten Riley on the floor. I think he is not fighting to win, he fights to prove something, which is always stupid.

fight of the night, it doesn’t get much better then that folks (for pure speed and power and heart). Gotta love the weight division. Now as for YET ANOTHER loss for Gurgel…come on DANA cut the fat from the fighter roster. This is the first gurgel fight that was actually exciting. I know ur fluff buddies with camp militech, but the hypocrasy is killing the true mma fans…THE UFC NEEDS RESULTS.

I know Gurgel is making bad fight choices, but this was my favorite fight of the night. I personally enjoy that fact that he just refuses to put on a dull fight, the only that I’m concerned about is that he keeps losing and I want him to keep being in the UFC. I haven’t caught a boring fight from him yet. I also just love how his corner is telling him to stick to the came plan and instead goes out and throws a few superman punches. He’s like McFedries and Sell, they just go out guns blazing. Unfortunately, unlike McFedries and Sell, Gurgel doesn’t have any kind of knock out power. He should just use those tree trunk legs of his for more body and leg kicks then his rabbit punches might drop someone. War Gurgel!!!

Gurgel is doing a disservice to his MMA schools. Seriously who would pay to train with a loser like that. I could see one major flaw in Jorge Gurgel’s striking… he was using only arm power to hit Aaron Riley and he wasnt putting behind any major weight into those shots. If your going to stand and strike with a striker might as well put your whole body into it.

ADAMBOMBER I dont know anyone that would not want to train with franklin but jorge sucks. He was eliminated in season 2 of the ultimate fighter by Jason Von Flue, who replaced the injured Josh Burkman in week three.He was no wins over any decent guys name opponents and he has losses to nobodys. Dont get me wrong this was a good fight and i think he is decent but i am sick of all this hype about his black belt. 3-4 record in the ufc u suck

I agree he just a brawler. The guy just swings , he can take a punch and it not easy to finish Jorge but he bring no strategy to his fights.

jg should have utilized his expertise- grappling.instead of going toe to toe with a striker. he doesn’t have the knockout power. though i must give him credit for his heart. but mma is all about winning and exploiting your strength. an exciting fight but a frustrating one for jg fans
