Probably one of the best fights of the night and it was the first one on the card. They also got the bonus for Fight of the Night. Can’t believe Goulet was able to come back and win that one.

early stoppage? When? When Hironaka’s eyes rolled back in his head, or when he fell like a sack of hammers the second time? Both awesome fighters, great fight: MMA TKO rules!

We need that one yamma announcer to fight Goulet and see how much he likes the “jumping stuff”.

Completely judicious stoppage. The ref even held back a few moments earlier in the fight to give him time to defend himself (which he did). But toward the end it seemed like the only thing keeping Hironaka upright was the fact that he was being punched upward faster than he could fall to the ground. The last hit was lights out.

yeah goulet showed true heart. his striking has gotten much better, but he needs to work on his defense. i’m def a goulet fan after seeing him improve so much.

they don tstop it when hironaka is on top of goulet beating the shit out of him but they stop it after goulet hits him with two shots…i believe i have seen hironaka recover from worse to come back and win. Goulet had the oppurtunity to do so, so why wouldnt hironaka get that chance?

Goulet never stopped defending himself, MMAFIGHTER32, watch the replay. He was always in motion and defending himself.

That last punch was just the last of a long series of shots Hironaka took to the head. When he got caught by the last one, he completely lowered his guard and fell into the fence with his eyes half-closed. That, my friend, is a knocked-out fighter. That’s a good stoppage.

That wasn’t an early stoppage that was just pure slobber knocker. He was out, I rather have a healthy fighter get knocked out, then a healthy fighter who got knocked out, and goulet just kept bashing his head in. Either way both guys did great, it just went the other way for goulet. hey that rhymed. :)

Hironaka stood while defending himself goulet fell and defended himself… sadly hironaka didnt defend much from the standing point. if that was going to the ground you wouldnt of seen him for a long time lol… best fight of the night. Goulet has a glass chin its known watch his fights… when he gets caught with a shot to the chin he goes down…. needs to tuck it and learn head movement and to combo that with his good wrestling and we will see him do bigger and better things.

The announcer said, “ooh a huge elbow!!”. It was a right hook. Most japanese fighters don’t like to admit losing, something about disgrace and dishonor to their country. Not to stereotype, but they take losing a lot harder then american fighters.

that brought a tear to my eye, i though goulet was finished but then comes back to finish him which he had done. He fell like a sac of shit the second time and he would have go punished even more you ball hanging hironaka fans. The fight was over, protect the fighter for his own safety its the rule. Learn the fucking sport before you make an asinine comment like early stoppage.
