Give J.B some time to come into his own shoes. GSP said it best, J.B doesn’t even know how good he his. His ground game is exceptional and he should play to strengths in that respect. Striking needs improvement but he seems to have a good chine for the time being

Brookins needs more time to develop and more fights under his belt. They should have never given him Oliveira.

Nice power guillotine by Olivera.I love Brookins but I think he likes getting hit hard on the chin.How hard is it to have good hand placement and your chin tucked?!You learn that your 1st class of boxing.He should go to a boxing gym because clearly his coaches can’t teach him the correct way to place his hands and chin.It’s been more then a year since he won TUF and he still doesn’t have basic boxing.It would only be good for him to concentrate the majority of his camp in striking.He is a great grappler but your hands and your chin is the first thing you should learn.If you don’t learn the first thing correctly,the rest of your boxing will suck.

I’ve never seen a fight with poorer footwork. Just two guys standing in front of each other.
Brookins’ standup needs a ton of work. Chin straight up in the air. Unfortunately, you can only beat inferior grapplers for so long until you come up against a well-rounded fighter like Oliveira.

seriously, who the hell “trains” brookins’s standup? It’s pathetic, a mockery to the sport and martial arts in general.
