Glover dies, Gus comes back with better cardio and wins. My prediction.

Joe Says, in 9-26-2013 at 12:20:07 from

Sounds like he’s scared to fight Gust again, and trying to buy some time. He may be underestimating Glover too though.. I hope not.

awesome! that will be another great fight!

Gymrat169 Says, in 9-26-2013 at 13:07:28 from

Glover has the ability to beat Jones. Jones isn’t scared of anyone! He’s just fighting who’s next in line!!! All you guys that’s talk a lot of s*** are not true MMA fans! Your just bringing the sport down!!!

Amosaback Says, in 9-26-2013 at 13:57:44 from

People bi+ch about Dana White all the time, but A LOT of organizations would force the rematch now to milk that cash cow rather than allow Jones to jeopardize the rematch by fighting Glover first. That is pretty cool.

I hope both of these great fights happen. I’m also really excited to see Gus face other tough competition in the division.

greengiant Says, in 9-26-2013 at 13:59:40 from

@Gymrat169 – Oh calm down pal. Would you want to get beat up like that again? No one would. He knows he lost deep inside and got a lucky decision. He doesn’t want to risk that again. Gus will be champ I do believe. An honorable respectful guy(gus) vs an arrogant guy thats full of himself(jones). I’ll take the honorable guy any day. Plus gus proved he is a better fighter. He didn’t grow up wrestling put picked it up fast. He is a more natural puncher then jones. The only thing jones has better is his unpredictable elbows and knee bending kicks. You can bet your ass gus will figure that out next time.

wcoastassassin Says, in 9-26-2013 at 14:52:59 from

If Jones were ducking people he would have called out a lesser guy than Glover, maybe do that match with Hendo, or call out Wanderlei or something obscure. This is another legit challenge for Jones and he knows if he gets past Glover, Gus will be waiting for him.

ken shiro Says, in 9-26-2013 at 15:28:46 from

I dont think Glover has the movement, speed or footwork that Gus used against Jones!Glover does have power though..KO power!!!

Oswald Cobblepot Says, in 9-26-2013 at 15:45:32 from

Gus lost the fight, unanamously!!! but MMA fans were their shirts so tight their brain doesnt get the oxygen it needs sometimes clouding their vision.

Gus got whooped…get over it!!!

dom Says, in 9-26-2013 at 15:48:52 from

@ Ken Shiro,

Thank you! I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so. I agree with everything you said and I also believe Glover lacks the stamina to go 5 at the same pace as the Gus/Jones fight. I must admit… I thought Gus’s victory over Shogun wasn’t anywhere near as impressive as the way Jones finished Shogun. Gus came out like a completely different athlete this time around.

While I think Glover is good fighter… His biggest danger rests in his KO power. I think we may see a much more stronger Jones for this fight. That Gus fight likely made him realize he needs to step it up to remain the champ without anyone doubting him.

Let’s be patient. Gus and Jones are going to kill this division and a rematch is inevitable.

TRA the Mens Rea Says, in 9-26-2013 at 16:44:35 from

What BS! Jones is surely ducking Gus.

The Gus fight showed that when he fights someone that is the same height and has the same reach he doesn’t stand out from the rest in the top 10 LHW. Jones came into the fight beating a who’s who at 205. Gus came in with an impressive UFC record but didn’t fight near the caliber Jones did.

The fight was close for sure. Rogan during the fight seemed to think Gus had won. Could go either way. The big deal is that Jones was almost beaten by a dude with a so so showing so far in the UFC.

Jones upper lip was like nothing I’ve seen before. His face was beat up and during the fight he often was the first to shy away.

Jones does not want more any of Gus.

Joker Says, in 9-26-2013 at 17:10:34 from

I was wrong about that Sweden guy so all I’m going to say is, this is going to be a great fight.

dragoman Says, in 9-26-2013 at 17:16:06 from

kinda glad it isn’t an immediate rematch, this way when gus and jones do fight again they will both have new skills to test. remember bj penn vs gsp 2 and how much gsp had evolved form their firstfight

rjcowger Says, in 9-26-2013 at 17:45:28 from

He wants nothing to do with Comier

T’Challa Says, in 9-26-2013 at 17:50:10 from

The Gustaffson fight was close, but not a bad decision at all. Jones almost finished Gus at the end of the 4th, and Gus was so gassed in the 5th, that he actually put his hands on his hips.Jones looked at him like wtf, are we doing time outs now?

It’s a combination of Gus doing way better than expected, mixed with Jones hate why so many seem to think Jon lost. This is a good move.. Glover gets his shot, Gus will get a main event spot in Sweden increasing his profile, then assuming both win, a huge rematch around summer 2014.

Doyle Brunson Says, in 9-26-2013 at 20:59:04 from

Horseshit im still bent out of shape over that gus fight. I was there live and the entire vibe of the arena was telling me Gus won that fight! I seemed like he just landed more sucessful offense. I thought it was a robbery. After a few days the only thing that settled my mind was knowning that Dana would reward such a robbery with an instant rematch….and now this!!!? Now I hope Glover wins (he wont) and gets the s*** beat of out him by gustuvson

viper Says, in 9-26-2013 at 21:00:23 from

@greengiant youll pick the white guy over the successful ,rich, athletic black guy who knows it and you cant stand it.i love how white men can be confident when rich ans on top but blacks are uppity.funny

B-Real Says, in 9-26-2013 at 21:29:08 from

Glover has a crazy set of skills. Don’t count him out. I think Jon is the greatest LH fighter, but there’s definitely a power advantage from Glover. He throws bombs, so Jon has to use distance and his length to force some slick grappling. I see Glover winning by a knockout or Jones winning by submission. There’s no way these styles can go the distance.

Eh, what do I know. I’m just excited for this fight!

trolololol Says, in 9-26-2013 at 21:46:39 from

LOL @ Doyle Brunson…you’ve got to be kidding, there’s no way you can read a vibe if you still can’t spell GUSTAFFSON even after seeing the guy LIVE, and reading this link with his name IN it…therefore you are a moron and the only thing being robbed is the dignity of English grammar LOL!!! Everyone that hates on Jones is just sap cause they don’t like his personality but you can’t refute the skill which is the reason why he’s at the top. y’all are all trolls…

Axe Murderer Says, in 9-26-2013 at 21:56:45 from

Not hard to figure this one out Glover = another big pay day before he’s forced to fight Gus again and lose.

shocktime Says, in 9-26-2013 at 23:21:30 from

Are you guy guys kidding? Jon called out Glover! That’s not exactly a can. He beat Gus and now it’s time too add another victim to his resume.

rob Says, in 9-26-2013 at 23:37:51 from

Oswald Cobblepot, get that Bones dick out of your mouth. There’s a brown spot on the tip of your nose

rob Says, in 9-26-2013 at 23:46:13 from

Viper, why the race card? Damn, you’re retarded. Jones got his ass beat but did enough as the belt holder to stun Gus and get that final takedown. Plenty of black athletes are certainly douchebag material and I do believe Jones is one of those. That being said, I respect the likes of Russel Wilson, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose, to name a few. It’s 2013, jackass

jasonfn22 Says, in 9-27-2013 at 03:01:27 from

Well its obvious that Jones is a warrior but if he had the warrior spirit he claims to have he would run that fight back because he won 1 rd they tied 1 rd and Alexander won 3 rds and put an ass whippin on Jones. Anytime their is is a questionable decision you fight that guy again and because now as it stands Jones don’t want any part of that Swedish honky again.

Joe Says, in 9-27-2013 at 03:32:46 from

Anybody who doesn’t think Jones is ducking Gust after all of the talk about a rematch afterward is fooling themselves. I mean s***, even Dana White wanted to see it happen! Plus, if you do your research it seemed like most people (including MMA fighters) thought Gust won that fight. If it wasn’t for that one elbow Jones landed and Gust gassing out toward the end then he would have definitely won that championship.

mmafan11@gmail.com Says, in 9-27-2013 at 11:00:15 from

If shorty Ryan I hit like a Girl Glass Jaw Bader can hurt Glover enough to knock him down with one girly punch I don’t see how…

1. Glover reaches Jones since his so slow,

2. Stays standing if he gets hit more than once.

Good night Glover.

Gus looses by KO next time, Jones clearly won the Fight and had his Swede A** Rocked on Queer Street in Rd. 4.

FailSonnen Says, in 9-27-2013 at 13:15:23 from

Ax Murderer called it:

He picked Glover because that’s definite paydays
instead of one. Even if he loses to Glover, he can still call out Goodstuffson OR he can rematch Glover; but since he already states here he will eventually fight Goodstuffson, he solidifies two big pay days for himself instead of just one with a quick rematch.

Because if he took the quick rematch and lost, then Glover would be fighting Goodstuffson..and no 2nd big payday for Bones…

rob Says, in 9-28-2013 at 00:46:06 from

mmafan11, you sound like you’re 11. Your boy did not “clearly” win. Outstruck, equal takedowns, more injuries. He’s a cash cow and defending champ; naturally, decision favors him. What was clear is that Jones lacks the power to put Gus out. Clearly.

the pope Says, in 9-28-2013 at 19:06:23 from

tough audience on here i guess. insulting gustaffson like that.maybe i saw something different. i saw 2 guys wi balls of steel going toe to toe n not backing down. also saw an entire bar on their feet going crazy and enjoying a bad ass fight.
