You guys justfying him for being a cocky douchebag seem to forget about other champions.Silva and GSP are ALOT more decorated and have a real legacy,records,etc.None of these 2 are ever cocky or disrespctful and they are alot more accomplished fighters then Jones.Also EVERY other champion is humble,except Cruz but he’s FAR from being as arrogant as Jones.Yes he is the best by far in 205 but that’s not an excuse to be cocky or arrogant.

Put all the bickering aside. When Jones fights you know its gonna be exciting, and most likely not gonna go to a decision. He is definitely not a boring fighter, his game plans are to finish not to technically win. It will be nice to see a real fight.

I dont believe Jones is cocky. He is confident as he should be since he finished 3 former champions last year. I enjoy watching him fight, but I can’t stand him. Seriously, I have never hated a fighter as much as I hate him. Ironically, I started out as a big fan of his, but he’s evolved into the biggest douchebag ever. Not only does he sound too cocky for me, he does things that make people upset and he also fights dirty (eye pokes, headbutts, etc). Fedor is a good example of someone who doesn’t have to say a word and he has had the biggest fan base for many years. Jon Jones… advice… just STFU, keep your opinions to yourself, try to be humble, then smash guys in the cage.

I was one of the first to say this kid was going to be great, but what he has is not cockiness or simple arrogance. He does have that “I’m holier than thou” b.s. attitude.
That’s why a lot of people hated Ali, especially the way he treated Fazier. Frazier was a respectful and humble fighter and kicked Ali’s ass in humiliating fashion in their first bout. Then he fought Ali in very poor health, being almost blind in their third bout.
I still think that was the one blemish Ali had in his curriculum. Not losing pathetically in the first fight, but the absolute lack of respect he showed to a legend of the sport.
I think Jones would be smart to turn that attitude around for his own good. Karma is a bitch.

DIdn’t see anything wrong with the interview. Jones gets so much unwarranted hate. Fact of the matter is he by far the best 205 fighter and he is still so young. Was everyone here perfect when they were still a kid? NO, but yet everyone wants to pick apart this guys words. Does anyone even remember his response after his DQ, he was well spoken and composed.

GSP truly is the best commercial representative of MMA. Nick Diaz and BJ Penn are my all time favorite fight personalities.
