Bruno: http://theyoutubeproxy.com/
not a big jones fan wonder how much he cuts he needs to go to hw so he can loose
jones looked very beatable there and lost some of his aura of invinsibility, A.silva will desimate this guy. jones cant finish vitor until round 4?
the difference between jones and silva is that jones is a gameplanner athlete wrestler that knows how to win,
Silva is a fighter, he finds a way to win every position and if ppl stands up with him they know they’r dead..i hate when ppl compare between the 2, there is no room for compare.
they should have given jonny a better chair
all that is up must come down,cannot wait for the day when this piece of s*** gets KKKKKKKTTTTTTTFFFFFFFOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Dan,Machida,don’t care by who just want to see him get badly beat!!!!!!!!fake ass motherphucker!!!!!!!!!
Why is Cruz doing this? Honestly F*** that little creep lol
Dreamcrusher, JJ walks around 225-230lbs as of late. He discussed that he’s put on weight.
@DavidJones, I agree with you on many points which you made. Good assessment.
DavidJones ur just another irrational JJ hater. A. Silva would never ever fight this guy instead he’s calling out a smaller GSP. A Silva himself knows he would probably lose to JJ.
Jon Jones is a monster, and to not respect him as a fighter is just pure retarded hatred. The guy is finishing the best fighters in the F’N world man!
@DavidJones
I agree thats what I was telling my buddies, Anderson would beat him in my opinion.
even if Vitor had little more power/technique when cranking the armbar he could have won.
someone with high caliber jiu jitsu with good power can beat him no question.
many are worried too much to get close.
@DavidJones, Goomba, Dave. You guys are insane. A fight between JJ and AS would not be competitive at all because AS’s wrestling is inferior to JJ’s as well as him being smaller, shorter, and weaker. He would take AS down with ease and beat the crap out of him for 5 rounds or finish him. The only way it would even be close to competitive would be if the fight stayed standing, which it wouldn’t. You guy are insane.
Am I the only one that thinks Jones is starting to sound delusional with all the warrior spirit crap?
Why is his beard lopsided…
@wcaostassassin
I thought he sounded delusional for a long time with his jesus talk.
@Keulniss
Smaller, shorter, and weaker are not valid reasons. Belfort and Rashad were smaller, shorter, and weaker, yet both did better than people expected and better than their previous competition. Even Machida was doing well, despite being the smaller, weaker, and shorter opponent. I would consider Silva to be better than all of them. As far as shorter is concerned, 2 inches is not a whole lot. And smaller, A. Silva walks around 220 lb JJ walks around 225-230lbs.
I am curious as to how you were able to gauge either fighter’s wrestling. Did you coach both of them in a wrestling competition? I’d be more inclined to give you some credibility if you didn’t refer to Silva’s wrestling as inferior. That’s a pretty strong statement which you’d be have back up with valid evidence. If you dare to bring up Silva Vs. Sonnen I, then you’re delusional and shouldn’t be in this debate with me. I would not be opposed to the idea that JJ’s wrestling is better than Silva’s, but to go as far as saying “inferior” seems a little bias.
I would disagree with your final statement. I don’t think JJ would take Silva down with ease. JJ likes to stay at a distance, or clinch. While JJ has a good shoot, to take a shot from such a distance on Silva would be dangerous and he’d know it. As a matter a fact, Jon doesn’t really take shots from a distance–pretty sure he does it from the clinch when he takes his opponent down. He always sets up his shots with strikes. He’s going to strike with A.Silva and their stand up truly are on a different level.
I say Silva KO’s JJ. I would consider Silva to be quicker and more fluid than JJ. They move completely different than one another. The odd thing about strength is the following: I don’t think JJ has the KO power of Silva, but I think JJ is the stronger athlete.
Jon’s best bet is to take him to the ground. But if you all have watched the Gracie Breakdown of JJ Vs. Belfort, you’d be exposed to the notion that A.Silva is extremely good at not taking damage from the bottom.
Anyways, it would be a great fight. I don’t think it’ll ever happened, but if it did, I would be pulling for Silva and definitely believe he would become victorious.
he has the Stevie Wonder Sway
I want to see Spinning Back Fail Sonnen (the Middleweight TRT Monster) fight Keith Jardine, winner gets Jon Jones next! (Because that scenario still isn’t nearly as retarded as allowing Chael to leap frog everyone and fight for the LHW belt).
damn he had to do this with that busted up elbow.. he’s doing anything to get back on the good side of things
wcoastassassin No, you’re just f****** delusional. Just like all the haters. Say whatever you guys want, he’s the best out there, and he’s beaten every opponent he’s faced. Prominent opponents. Who cares about what he thinks and how he is? He comes to fight, what the F***. Why is everyone getting their panties all in a bunch just because he doesn’t act the way you want him to. He goes in and he fights. He’s always mentally and physically prepared. He’s a fighter. End of story.
Jon Jones would Smash anderson,he would take him down and elbow him into submission.
@david jones
HE HAD A BROKEN ARM YOU STUPID LITTLE FOOL
you guys are all f****** idiots… “more power/technique when cranking the arm”
take a bjj class instead of sitting in your chair being a useless, fat retard
i’m pretty sure that keulniss is the only person on this thread with any kind of developed eye for this sport. First, there is no such thing as an invincible fighter; Bones could lose to Anderson, Bones could lose to Machida, or any other top-notch fighter, but he hasn’t lost to anyone because the mixture of his skillsets, his work ethic n his size make him a beast. Bones has stuffed every takedown attempt that anyone has thrown at him n has, i believe, either the highest, or the second highest takedown percentage in his own right. Almost everyone that he has gone to the ground with has been pummeled til the ref stopped it. Apart from the 15 seconds that Vitor maintained that armbar n about 2 minutes in the first round against Machida, he hasn’t even really seen adversity, even though he’s fought former champions for his last five fights. While he doesn’t have one punch knock-out power (at least we have yet to see it) he does have some of the most creative striking skills of any fighter, n assuming he doesn’t have to sit out for months, he will continue to expand his repertoire. Anderson Silva is one of my favorite fighters (watch “Anderson Silva Highlights 2012″ on youtube), but Bones would most likely ragdoll him to the ground n elbow him repeatedly. Anderson vs. GSP, on the other hand, would be a great fight, because GSP’s takedowns n ground control are both excellent, but he is smaller than Chael, which would give Anderson a better shot at keeping the fight where he wanted it. GSP is also much more technically sound than Chael with his submission defenses. What i think would really be awesome would be if Bones could get Silva to come n spend some time training at Jackson’s camp, so that he could sponge some of Anderson’s knowledge. While Hendo’s right hand could knock almost anyone out, everyone knows it, especially Jon Jones who would likely circle right n keep distance until Hendo grew confused by all of the push kicks n jabs from the outside. IMO, the best LHW fights for Jones at the moment are Alexander Gustafsson n Glover Teixeira. Gustafsson’s height might neutralize one of Jon’s biggest advantages n Glover’s all-around toughness makes him a force to be reckoned with.
@Goomba, First off, when I said shorter, I meant in all areas, which includes reach. Therefore I agree that 2 inches in height is not a big difference but 7 inches in reach is.
The word inferior simply means worse, as in AS’s wrestling is worse than JJ’s. This is a well accepted fact and should not need further discussion, and you should actually not be in this debate with ME. I have not coached them in a wrestling competition, I have simply used my eyes while watching them fight many opponents. But since you are hard pressed to admit that there is a significant talent gap in this discipline, I will explain. JJ has shown very impressive wrestling in all of his fights, including dominating that aspect against excellent former accomplished wrestlers such as RE, RB, VM, and MH to name just a few. This is a very big deal and is no small feat. AS, on the other hand, has shown in the past that he can be outwrestled from even sub par competition such as lutter (and others) and taken down in his career numerous times. This is partly due to him being comfortable on his back, but the fact remains that if he has but one “weakness”, it is wrestling.
I’d like to add that I think AS’s wrestling has actually improved in the last year or two, probably due to CS vs AS I (I know CS cheated but it was probably still the reason AS worked on it). But even after much practice, by no means would he be near JJ’s level in that area.
So yes, it is obvious to everyone logical that AS’s wrestling is inferior to JJ’s (recall the definition from above).
I agree that JJ typically doesn’t like to shoot, he uses a greco-style clinch instead. He is also a smart fighter from a smart camp who like a solid gameplan. Although I think he would make a competitive fight on the feet, I think he would rather get it to the ground where I think he would have a significant advantage (why risk it?).
I also agree that AS is quicker (slightly) and more fluid (matrix s***), as well as AS having more KO power and JJ being stronger.
The main factor is the wrestling. The smaller, shorter, and weaker parts are just a bonus sprinkled on top that makes me think JJ would win.
@facefrack, thank you and I agree with what you’ve said as well (except AS coming to Jackson’s lol). Excellent point about GSP vs AS being a much more competitive fight than AS vs JJ. I also think that AG and GT are the best fights for JJ right now.
Dana you have to make JJ, and AS happen before AS retires..
Let me explain it for all the non jiu jitsu practicing keyboard ninja’s out there. Vitor could not finsih that armlock because the angle was wrong. He pop’d jones arm and that was as far as he could hyper extend it. Jones then fought on with at the very least snapped tendons in his elbow and submits Vitor. It had nothing to do with Vitor relaxing the pressure when he felt Jones arm pop. He couldnt finish that armlock even if he wanted to.
He want’s no part of Hendo, what else is there to say?
