I find it crazy how many people is jumping on Jones and judging him as if they were some sort of saints that never made a mistake. IMO Jones definitely messed up, put other people’s life in danger and should deal with the consequences. However, it’s crazy to see how in most MMA forums people is laughing at the incident and pointing at Jones with a “I knew it” or “he deserved it”, let’s be honest Jon is only 24 years old, came from a poor family and in a period of a few years became one of the best fighters in the world and a sports celebrity. I want to see any of the keyboard junkies in these forums achieving the same level of success and stay mentally sane in the process, I bet most of you would be even more arrogant, reckless and cocky than him. He’s still very young and has a lot to learn but it disgusts me how many people is eager to see someone successful fail so they can rationalize mediocrity in their own lives. Ohh and I’m sure no one in this forum has ever drank and drive at some point in their lifes (or done something as stupid…) just my two cents.

The fact of the matter is that he very calculatedly and intentionally portrayed himself to be a very mature, responsible, and law abiding person in order to make himself more marketable. He acted like a hypocrite and should be open to criticism.

as much as I want to dislike JJ, I cannot disrespect his abilities in the cage. I’m sure he will learn from this experience and grow mentally stronger. Shaikan is right, we are all human. At the same time, Barrek is right in that life has a way of bringing people down from on top of a mountain. JJ will be back in the cage, and will provide entertainment for years to come. Rampage is one of my favourite fighters and when he went crazy after the Forrest loss, a lot of people were ragging on him as well
