Very entertaining fight! Fitch’s stand-up has definitely improved

Was that a book Fitch was holding @ the end?

Marcel got robbed

Never seen Marcelo Alfaya before. I’m very impressed. Superb grappling. Fitch has been dominated by wrestling before, but I still don’t think I’ve ever seen him submitted. Never seen anyone take Fitch’s back so many times. Fitch’s standup looked way better, and his chin actually held up to a decent uppercut. Jon must have worked a lot on his head/standup movement after being knocked out a bunch of times. Alfaya looked like he had a good chin, but I feel like if it was someone who strikes more confidently or with more power he would have got taken out. Jon still seems hesitant to really throw his hips into a lot of those hooks. Looks like he doesn’t have a lot of confidence in his chin. Like, if Alfaya fought Nick Diaz he would have got dominated. I think what almost knocked Marcelo out was diving into Fitch’s head. It wasn’t intentional, but I really think he got headbutted hard at the end.

@danada – A few things. Demian Maia pretty much lived on jon’s back so he had his back the most out of anyone. How was fitch knocked out a bunch of times? Do you watch mma or are you just assuming? He has been Ko’ed once in the last 10 years. He gets rocked a lot but recovers quick. Jon is not hesitant to throw his hips into his hooks. Some people have that ability and some don’t period. Believe me he is throwing as hard as he can.
