Erick silva fought like a warrior, to the end of his strenght, which is admirable considering the man he eis fighting. Im really sad about the result but Erick show heart, i know he will be back

Fitch exploited Silva’s weakness which was grappling and imposed his will. Good win for him. Silva is a young talented fighter and will learn from this loss.

Got a little story for you Bruno:
About 2 years ago, I had 7 very young chickens that were hatched out by my own hen. Ya see, the hen had sex with my rooster. That’s how reproduction works.
Anyway, for those that don’t know, you have to keep very young chickens separated from the rest of the flock until they’re big enough to fend for themselves. The adult chickens will go all “Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir II” on their asses. So we put them in our horse stall down by our pond. Well, one morning I went down to feed them and all but two chickens were mauled to death! Pissed off this MMA fan pretty bad. So I took a picture of this mess and sent it to my good buddy via my cell phone. He asked what happened. And I responded “Well I can guarantee you that it wasn’t Jon Fitch, because he’d still be laying on top of the first chicken he got a hold of!”
With that being said, I have to admit that he was very impressive in this fight. He didn’t get the finish, but that’s only because of the amount of fight in Silva. Let’s hope Fitch keeps fighting this hard in the future.

Nice job on Fitch’s part. It’s a hard fought loss for Silva, but the first time he’s faced a top five fighter and he now knows what he needs to do in the future to improve his game. Bruno your wallet is now 100 bucks lighter.

This was like the Dave Terrell fight, a young talented rising star who was KO’ing people quickly, then he came across Evan Tanner and got handled and was never the same…I hope Erick Silva comes back but he got Tannerized badly, and he looked broke psychologically….he may never have the same confidence again, ever..just saying.

John Fitch is the most hated underrated fighter; it’s my opinion, just an opinion folks.
As far as I am concerned he belongs to the top 3 WW, and has been for a very long time.
Dana just doesn’t like him at all, since this stupid video game controvercy.

I love how people say Silva has no grappling skills. He was fending himself pretty well and attempted some submissions himself.

Fitch fought brilliantly, Erick fought arrogantly. Differently of what “vegas” said, Erick’s showboat in the beginning has nothing to do with Anderson’s strategy. Anderson uses it to reveal his opponent’s weaknesses, to control the fight, and to break his opponent’s spirit. Erick is far from that. He is good, but taking this beating will teach him a lesson he needs to learn and will make him much stronger in the future.

Fitch really, has finally evolved to a real sick gnarley type of fighter, a dangerous fighter now. Fitch style and skillset is what ufc is about, that is the fighter who would be going home to his family that night if it was a real hand to hand him or me combat situation. Vegas, i dont think you understand that erick silva`s movement is part of his strategy, the “taunting” is used to distract his opponent from his real intentions, just like his movement or the placing of his hands, they are low so the opponent doesnt anticipate what he is going to hit him with, anyway i still think Erick show a lot of skills and with few adjustments to his strategy he can become a future contender

last round was a 10-7 in my opinion. At least a 10-8.
Judges shut give 10-8 way more often. 10-9 should be when a round is close. 10-8 obvious winner and 10-7, etc when dominated.

John Fitch is the most hated underrated fighter. — Agreed. Also Silva is a punk, and with this fight he was educated. It was so one sided, and I also couldn’t believe Silva couldn’t put the fight away with his chock attempts. Pathetic and overrated, but he will get better.
