This was a good fight. Maia completely dominated Fitch, but watching Fitch defend attack after attack.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can berate a fighter after a loss like they have a personal grudge against them. It seems those that will never be good enough to make it into the octagon just hate on those that due. Respect all who compete, or just don’t watch there fights!

Demian just out-wrestled and out-grappled fitch completely. Was not for his almost-non-existent neck and big munch – I mean, guy came up from factory with rear naked protection – he would have been submitted all 3 rounds. Pros for Fitch for resisting anyway – demian is no joke and looks better then ever at this category and using grappling (please do noy try to show us you boxe, demian, we know you have it, we’re just not interested in that…).

Fitch really should have gone for takedowns. Sure he’d be playing into Maia’s world, but at least he wouldn’t be defending them and losing.

Maia cheated plain and simple. I am no longer a fan of him TBH. at 1:03 the “man of respect” did a glove touch and used good sportsmanship as an advantage by going straight in for a takedown without even taking a step back. straight glove touch to takedown. Fitch than proceeded to have his back the next 5 minutes with Fitch carrying him the whole time. At that point John was tired and the fight was essentially over.
