John Fitch’s fights aren’t that impressive. Sure he gets the W but he doesn’t dominate people like GSP does. And GSP dominates fighters that are ranked as the top 10 guys in the division. Jon Fitch wins against small contenders and gatekeepers but he doesn’t dominate them. I hope Jon Fitch trains really hard for this fight and hopes for some luck, because he’s going to need that luck to win against GSP.

GSP is a great fighter, a class act and a great ambassador for the sport. He already fought and beat BJ Penn, and I think if they fight again GSP will beat him again.

Hey BJ fanboy. When Penn moves up to 170 lbs and faces GSP he won’t make it out of the 2nd round because he is an extremely lazy fat ass at 170lbs. Watch him gas from GSP’s vastly superior conditioning. At 155 lbs you can barely see any definition in BJ. Now imagine him at 170. That Canadian will reign supreme over what ever American trash they throw at him.

i think gsp was a little hesitant to stand up with serra because he managed to tko him in their first fight. even though the rematch proved that serra just happened to get lucky by facing gsp when he was going through a difficult time in his life.
i don’t think he’s going to be tentative with his striking against fitch though, so it should be a great fight, and i see gsp taking it. but still great to see fitch get his shot

GSP has his work cut out for him because not only does he have to dominate fitch, he was to do it standing. even if he wins via wrestling like his last few fights, he risks being branded as a 1 dimensional wrestler, and somewhat proves what Fitch said, that he is too timid to stand with people since being knocked out.

Whoever thinks BJ would be dominated at 170 is a fucking moron. The BJ that GSP beat was not nearly as fit or sharp as he is now. GSP is a great fighter and it would be a great match. I would have to pick BJ to win but it would be a very tough fight. I expect Fitch to push the pace with GSP. I see it ending in the 4th by submission.

All I can say is that I hope GSP has his mental game together…when his head ain’t right, his fight ain’t right…sure, he’s got all the PHYSICAL tools to beat Fitch, but it’s no guarantee…I would hate to see GSP get destroyed…that would just suck

Hello EVAN, Did you miss the first time B.J came up in weight to challenge Matt Highes??? 1st RD Rear Naked Choke, and complete control. That was when he relied on his skill and “kind-of” trained now that he is focused abd rededicated he is capable of holding two title at the same time. I am a fan of B.J, yes. I respect GSP aswell, who can’t, you have to. They are both different fighters than when GSP won a very close decision and gave the post fight interview from a hospital bed.(It is on U-Tube if you do not believe me). It will be fun.
