Rampage in his prime was really good, not only did he had power but he used to mix well his strikes, he used to be a busy fighter. it will be good to see him back at his top but with all his injuries i don’t think he will.

All I have to say is… I hope Rampage brings his A game and goes all out on this one. I’m rooting for him, but if I had to place a bet it would be for Jones unfortunately. :\

Bones Jones is definitely the best MMA fighter pound for pound to date; look for Rampage’s head to get ripped off’ or any future opponent of Jones for that matter.

Rio_Warrior Says, in 9-13-2011 at 09:52:56 from

Jones is a HW fighting at LHW plus his freakish reach and talent makes him a tough opponent at the LHW division. Lacks in KO power but nobody can have it all.

Rooting for Jackson although Jones will probably win. Lioto Machida is probably the fighter who will give him a little more trouble due to his counter attack style. If Jones goes too much spinning mambo jambo in front of Machida he can get his ass kicked.

But if one of Rampage’s punches finds Jones in the ring there can be an upset.

I find it silly that people are already saying that Jones is the best pound for pound fighter. While he is very, very good, and I believe that he will most likely beat Rampage. He still hasn’t defended his belt. Nor has he fought all of the top fighters in that division.

I’m not sure if anyone tested JBJ’s chin to date but I do know if Rampage connects we will definitely know if he has a chin of granite or glass. But I don’t think Rampage will get close enough to JBJ and JBJ will just pick him apart. I’m guessing this fight will be similar to the Shogun fight.

Yougon’getgot Says, in 9-13-2011 at 12:42:00 from

I’m going for my boy Rampage on this one. I just don’t like Jon Jones. He’s got the longest arms in the UFC, whoopideedoo. He hasn’t fought top guys yet, besides Shogun, other one being Ryan Bader if you consider him a ”top guy”. Most of all his chin hasn’t been tested yet. Everyone keeps saying Rampage don’t have that ”power punch” anymore. He’s only 33 years old people, watch the Jardine & Rashad fight, he drops both of them with hooks. The only reason we haven’t seen that power since Wandy is because he keeps getting Wrestlers as opponents. Besides Lyoto who didn’t want to engage, Rampage still has it, and i’m betting we will see it on this card. As long as Rampage can stay away from those long ass arms and gets inside with a clean shot. I guarantee Jones will crumble, but then again he is a Wrestler as well. With that said, i’m going with Rampage via TKO/KO.

rampage 2nd round ko (3:45). He will be losing prior to that though! that is what will happen. Me and Doc just check it out….IN THE FUTURE!

J-Dawg Says, in 9-13-2011 at 13:31:44 from

@JoeyM16 I agree that Jones is amazing, but I think stating that he is the best pound for pound fighter to date is a bit premature – I don’t think that he has fought enough top tier guys to make that claim just yet.

rjcowger Says, in 9-13-2011 at 14:28:42 from

dont know what rampage thinks he is going to bring to the table that shogun didn’t but it better be a baseball bat

fred567 Says, in 9-13-2011 at 14:30:37 from

At :33 Jones said when he did have Shogun close to being finished he was going to “give him his space and let him realize he was hurt” – ok, that doesnt make any sense…im used to Rogan making no sense but that is Rogan. Why would you want to let your opponent realize he was hurt or give him space when he is hurt? And wouldnt Shogun know if he was hurt?…so “letting him realize it” is nonsense. Especially if that means the possibility of him recovering. Almost like he is trying to say that he was toying with Shogun but doesnt want to sound cocky. It’s like false humility. Suddenly i think Rashad is right about this guy. Ive been thinking Rampage is doomed, but maybe Shogun was actually out of shape like he has been b4…maybe Page can take this one…i dunno. Starting to want to see someone knock this over-hyped punk out.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 9-13-2011 at 16:23:40 from

Everything Jones said made sense. He stepped out to not get hit,and when he stepped out Shogun started to move and he was wobbling.Thats when he realised he was stunned. When you get hit by combinations, get stunned and dont get put to sleep, you will feel the hits but it will take a second or two before the ringing stops, you get some of your senses back but you feel your legs arent there. And when you get hurt,it takes alot of time to stop being dizzy and wobbly(15 seconds minimum). So Jones didnt take a chance to get hit and he finished shogun without taking any chance or unnesecary damage.

murell Says, in 9-13-2011 at 17:05:27 from

Jones has so many more weapons to use than Rampage, should be an easy fight for Jones, but that being said, Rampage has a good chin and Big power,so he could get the K.O but i doubt it.

This fight hasn’t even happened and i’m already morning the asskicking rampage is going to receive….remember how brutual is was after Wand left him limp between the ropes back in pride? multiply that times 3 and that’s how bad i see Jones tearing him up….broken orbital bone…check…broken jaw…check…broken ribs…check..bruised ego…check…..bring on mousasi or dan henderson or gustaffson next….their fates will be the same…

I hope Rampage GETS HIS BELT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ramrod Says, in 9-13-2011 at 21:20:30 from

i hope Rampage knocks out Jon JOnes he is good Jon Jones is good but in the Bader fight and in the Shogun fight he looked a bit tired.. i think the key to beating him is body shots fight him on the inside run around wear him down and then go upstairs for the KO he can be beat no one is invincible everyone can lose hell even Anderson Silva lost in his career but right now it seem that Bones is on top of his game the reason why he gets tired is because he is growing fast this kid is young and he will eventually grow out to Heavyweight .. one lucky punch is all it takes i hope.. .. but i hope Rampage doesnt become predictable in his striking

Punisher Says, in 9-13-2011 at 21:21:22 from

This fight will be in the ground… and once rampage is on his back… dude he is lost! well i bet in tko for jones in 1st round via gp

NotVinnieJones Says, in 9-13-2011 at 22:01:40 from

Rampage’s fighting career has plateaued and this fight will be the definitive beginning of his downward slope when he gets mangled by Jones on the 24th.
