Nobody’s fault but his own. GSP won. Log in to Reply mma made easy November 21, 2013 Glad to see someone else went back and watched the fight without the hype Log in to Reply Khancept November 21, 2013 Johnny, puhleeese. If you are measuring damage, you were medically suspended for 6 months, while George was only suspended 45 days for “superficial” cuts and bruises. Log in to Reply BlindGoljaT November 21, 2013 Johnny come on 4-1? Realistically this fight is impossible to score no bias. I’d personally scored it draw after watching it again. Both are winners sounds fukin boring and dumb but meh. Under PRIDE rules it is whole different story. So we can start bitching about that oww most of you have already done that wopsie.. Current point system is shitty Log in to Reply marvelous mad madam mim November 21, 2013 he didn’t play golf today. when you shoot over 90 you are not playing golf, idk what the **** it is but it’s not golf, prolly more like lawn bowling. ha! OT: GSP got destroyed but Hendrix played it way too safe. He needed to go Ben Rothwell berzerker mode and just put George away. And GSP well… he needs to give up the belt and retire because I envision the rematch being a lot like shogun/machida rematch. Log in to Reply PAPABear November 21, 2013 I wanted Hendricks to win, but 10 point system I feel he lost….3 rounds to 2…. Hendricks by no means was a clear winner….so he needs to stop crying and hope he does better in rematch. . Log in to Reply Noel November 21, 2013 Hendricks and JDS need to form their own Denial Club. Log in to Reply *****lipsbjj November 21, 2013 You are all idiots Log in to Reply bagboy November 21, 2013 The current scoring system TOTALLY sucks. I find the post-fight pics of their faces to be a pretty interesting comparison though. GSP looks like he got drug by a truck for 20 miles over a logging trail, and Hendricks looks like he just stepped out of church. I know folks will scream that some people cut easily like Fedor…bla…bla…bla. I do get that. But in terms of sheer damage, wow is all I can say. Bottom line is that we need a new scoring system! Both guys are tough as hell for sure, and I look forward to a rematch if there is one. I think Hendricks will wreck GSP next time, because this has Hendricks totally on fire. I think Hendricks showed that GSP can’t hurt him and can’t keep him on the ground either. GSP’s primary game plan of his entire career was totally shut down. And I say this as a long-time GSP fan too. Log in to Reply T'Challa November 21, 2013 Johny can only blame himself. He coasted the last round, and even stepped back and LET GSP get back to his feet when he had him down. Then at the press conference he bragged how he was only using 70% power, and Dana blasted him saying he should’ve finished the fight. My money is on GSP in the rematch. Log in to Reply greengiant November 22, 2013 Some people cut easier and have weaker skin so you can’t judge a fight on how they look. Use your heads. GSP had a takedown sub attempt and more dynamic striking in the first. I gave the first to gsp. You don’t win a round with short elbows and pitter patter punches like hendrix landed. Log in to Reply Not Anonymous November 22, 2013 BlindGoljaT, Draw? Can I see the math on your score card? Or alternately, you can just tell me which round you scored 10-8. Log in to Reply Twana November 22, 2013 No, GSP’s face was not “superficial” cuts as one claims here. No, GSP did not win that fight as few people claim here. 70% of the country is not bias when they believe GSP lost the fight. And yes GSP clearly lost the fight. Still too bad too sad should happen sometimes. Log in to Reply ThunderStrike November 22, 2013 Anyone who thinks GSP won that fight needs to have his head examined. Period. Worst. Decision. Ever. Log in to Reply Krio November 22, 2013 Johny Hendricks has a huge beard during the fight = for me this is cheating, yes it does help the impact of punches, Roy Nelson has no chin (got KO by andrei Arvloski) shave the beard and let’s see if they can take punches like clean men Log in to Reply Joe Dog November 22, 2013 I’m blaming Obama. Log in to Reply charnc1122 November 22, 2013 Krio – I agree with you man. How can a thick beard not provide some cushion on the chin when being hit? Yea beards should be disallowed in my opinion. Log in to Reply zagor November 22, 2013 Right after the fight Johny was saying GSP was better for the first two minutes of the round one….now is down to 10 seconds?! Log in to Reply hoboryan November 22, 2013 Well..one way to score a draw would be: Round 1: 10-9 GSP Round 2: 10-8 Hendricks Round 3: 10-9 GSP Round 4: 10-9 Hendricks Round 5: 10-9 GSP 47-47 Draw…. Log in to Reply GSP WON November 22, 2013 Crackhead Hendricks needs to get off his high horse… HE LOST ! JH got out struck and out worked… GAME OVER Log in to Reply HAC. November 23, 2013 Round 2 was in no way a 10-8 round. He had him wobbled at the start of the round and if nothing else happened that round its a 10-8, but GSP came back too strong at the end of the round. I liked Johnny and actually tipped him to win. I don’t know why he was hitting him with “70% power” because he wanted to last the five rounds. His attitude as Dana pointed out should have been to put GSP away. Why play into his game? GSP has been fighting into 5 round decisions for years now. He should have swarmed him in round 2 when he had the chance Log in to Reply zagor November 23, 2013 I am completely lost here. Not only that fans are trying to score this fight based on Pride (on any other rules, for that matter) but are also scoring round #2 as 10-8. Maybe I’m missing something here but since when having someone wobbled is enough to score the round 10-8? Isn’t 2 points difference given when for example you get opponent down on the mat early in the round then ground and pound him heavily for the rest of the round….? Did rules change recently (other than in JH’s fans dreams)…? Log in to Reply Not Anonymous November 23, 2013 That was my original question, a draw is numerically possible, but unreasonable. That is the only way to come up with 47-47. At this point NSAC might as well change it to a 3 point must system. Winner gets 3,loser gets one or two. There will never be a 10-6 round, and I can only remember hearing 10-7 one time. your opponent has to basically be in danger of being killed for 5 minutes to get 10-7. In the new age of MMA officiating, the fight will be stopped before a 10-7 is earned. Log in to Reply JPeezy November 23, 2013 GSP won that fight. You know how I know he won that fight? Because he still has the belt… Log in to Reply KFLStop November 25, 2013 Florian seriously needs to stop trying to make reporter faces. Log in to Reply GSP1trickpony November 25, 2013 Hendricks 4-1.
