horrible. It’s the fighter’s decision whether or not to tap. I like that new rule that someone just invented that “pain sounds” are considered a verbal tap. Sounds like someone’s in line for the Winslow job. I swear I’ve only ever seen that woman be terrible in the UFC.

He definitely should have kept pulling on the head like Florian was saying. Didn’t really look like he was pinching his knees together on the sides much. Angling out to the side REALLY tightens things up, looks like he was straight the whole time. If all that failed he could have gone for the triangle/arm bar ala Werdum on Fedor. Fake like you’re pushing the arm across his face and then rip the arm away in the opposite direction for the armbar.

Freedomfit is correct, it must have been a verbal submission which includes any verbal outburst during a submission, listen to the end of the video near 5:45ish, where she claims numerous times that she’s “wearing a mic”.
