Anybody saying it wasn’t a late stoppage is ignorant and are all non fighters.Anybody who fought in any contact sport will know that if you turn your back while your getting hit,you will lose.That ref is a retard.and you don’t even need to have trained one second in your whole life to know this was a late stoppage.Joe is tough but he got dropped from a knee got back up TURNED AROUND and just stayed there.That’s not defending yourself at all.You don’t need to be uncouscious to be hurt and unable to continue.

@Jasonfn22 – Seriously! It seems everyone is more focused on how badly Joe was beaten! But who delivered that beating? I mean, he strung together a long and brutal combo and didn’t even look close to gassing. And that was 3 rounds deep! I automatically lumped Pat with Jeff Curran and assumed mediocrity, but Pat is something else. I don’t think it will be long before we see him in the UFC.

About the stoppage, what KouNTa and Sunfish said. It’s a title fight: no champion would accept being “kind of beaten,” so you got to let it be over. If Warren was seriously in trouble, the corner should have thrown the towel. But in a title bout, you just give the fighters all the opportunities to recover.
I wouldn’t mind a ref being overzealous in an amateur fight or even in someone’s first professional fight. But this is the peak for these guys. It’s all or nothing. If you are a fighter, you wouldn’t want it any other way.
