Someone posted a message here about a year ago about this episode with Seagal, where the stuntman basically climbed on Seagal’s back, choked him out, then Seagal basically pooped himself.

To be fair, most people crap themselves when knocked out, in a gun fight, etc. This is actually the most common reaction. You autonomic Nervous system disregards anything it doesn’t consider vital to survival at that point. Randy Couture mentioned this on “Pros vs Joes”…it’s something I’ve always known…
Fact of the mater is…no SMART fighter would tell another fighter to go full bore on them and say “you can’t…” There’s demoing, there’s sparing and there’s fighting. Let’s be real…

@mma mike…the point of this is that he never TOUGHT this to anderson silva! Segal claims that Silva learned this specialized technique through segal, which never happened. At most what happened is that Segal mentioned it to Silva, and SIlva said ahh ok cool, and that was the end of it. It wsnt like he became part of his training camp etc to teach him “the way of the front kick”…

Ok so what was he saying then when Ariel told him about JJ’s front kick and he said it didnt knocked Rampage because he didnt taught him???Sounds to me like a douchebag who takes credit.And Seagal said right after the Belfort fight that he teached him a “modification” of the technic that made him be able to knock people with it…Again taking credit.And Machida is a legit black belt in Karate.Karate use ALOT of kicking technics and Aikido,not that much.Also my coach bought the Anderson Silva instructional and he showed the kick in his video way before SeaLion took credit for it.

Honestly though what makes Joe Rogan the authority on any kind of martial art much less mixed martial arts. Maybe it’s just that I hate him but I think you have to take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Well my friend, Joe Rogan is a black belt in TKD and competed at the national level when he was younger. He also happens to be a BJJ brown belt from Jean Jacques Machado. So yes, it is probably your hate and/or jealousy towards him that is clouding your judgement.

You can catch Le Bell in a whole lot of Green Hornet and Kato scenes. He was alwys playing one of the thugs Kato had to fight. Bruce was taught a few Judo moves by Le Bell

Just saw this article but I’ve known the story for years. Seagal LET Lebell put him in a hold. He was trying to prove he could get out of it. He could not. Doesn’t make Seagal a fake. It makes him human. He has also admits this happened and that he learned the choke afterwards. It was not a fight by any stretch of the imagination. It was an ego check.
By the way, upon first meeting Bruce Lee on the set of the Green Hornet, Lebell walked up to Lee, grabbed him, threw him over his shoulder and proceeded to run around the set with him. Lee was screaming like a child for Lebell to “let me down or I’ll kill you!” but Lebell just laughed and kept running. Eventually Lee realized Lebell was joking and they became friends. As a result of Lee’s complete inability to respond while being wrapped like a child above Lebells head, Lee asked Lebell to teach him Judo.
So if Seagal who let Lebell put him in a hold is a fake… Then Lee, who did not wish to be in a hold, and was run around like a little girl above Lebells head while screaming, is surely a fake.
Those who’ve known both, including Lebell have said that neither is a fake.
