Maybe it’s a compliment to Nick that Carlos didn’t stand in the pocket. In the end, it’s still a Diaz loss.

Kungfulowkick: Fair enough. I agree Carlos did way more to push action than Clay. Using the word stalling wasn’t the best but it was your word and I was just putting everything you said back at you to see how you’d take it. It really was a brilliant gameplan; I just didn’t like seeing it. Honestly I do think Nick won it but I’m not being a baby about this. Considering not one of the three judges scored for Nick, it’s tough to argue.

Even going with Guida/Condit comparisons felt very awkward when I was typing but those were the two fights hanging there and I had to go with it. It wasn’t meant to compare their styles but to point out that they did what they had to do to win. The shocking part was I had never seen Condit fight like this.

My whole point is that we both were frustrated watching our guy get neutralized.

i couldnt pick a winner for this fight – like both these guys. but pettis is just too slick with the kicks and the angles he chooses.

guy goes out stiff and ppl call early stoppage??? you guys are right, tie quan zhang was early stoppage too and so was okami. this whole mma refereeing thing is getting ridiculous. If the guy is still breathing he can clearly continue.
