It’s been said that the best way to turn a BJJ black belt into a white belt is to punch them in the face a few times. Seemed to have worked this time for Hansen, ones of my faves, after that unfortunate gogoplata lost to Shinya earlier.

Oh yeah!!! For some reason I thought Aoki put the Gogo on someone else. It was on Hansen! Looks like Hansen learned his mistake from the last time, hopefully Aoki learns his mistakes from this fight. He needs to improve his striking and wrestling, but his BJJ is still world class.

@BakaSurvivor: Hansen wasn’t lucky…he escaped the gogo attempt cuz he already lost to Aoki that way and learned his lesson. Then he smashed Aoki’s face and won. Nothing lucky.

And offered the first title shot to Alvarez cuz he replaced Alvarez and wasn’t supposed to be in the finals…class act. Why would he give Aoki an immediate rematch when he just crushed him?

Aoki is on some next level shit on the ground…but is one-dimensional. Hansen is an all around technician and a tough mofo. Just my opinion…

im a huge fan of aoki. he’s a bit of a cry baby but his grappling is sick.
