Awww! That’s sick! What’s going on with these fighters, man? Staph, and Mono, and God knows what else . . . somebody’s nasty ass needs to take some days off. I say we get all the fighters with Staph, or mono, or whatever together and pool all the guys they been rollin’ with. Whoever’s the common-factor is probably the ass-hole!

Jason’s staph infection doesn’t necessarily have to come from Shields. It could have come from anywhere. The bacteria that causes this type of infection are normally found on the nose and skin of healthy individuals. They only cause disease in this case when there is a break in the skin and or when your immune system is depressed. The bacteria was probably deposited by other fighters who use the ring and for all you know from Jason himself.

Lovely, that really puts young guys in the mood to pay $150/month for a gym membership to start training mma. They would get something alot less nasty from doing something alot more fun than grappling, plus they would make alot more money if they videotape it and put it on the internet.
