I know Lambert has some good ground and pound, but Rogan saying he had the fight in the bag until he got knocked out? I don’t think so. Gouveia was silly enough to pull two guillotines into guard, which ended up costing him a round. How can you say someone had the fight in the bag less than a minute into the second round?
I love this site…. but one question…
why do some fight videos here have the post fight comments, the staredowns, entrances, and some dont?
I mean, if some of the fights only are going to have all the extras, why not the important fights? like the title fights or the really anticipated ones? I think oone cares to see jason lambert walk to the octogon…. but Im sure EVERONE Wants to see and hear a BJ penn staredown and a post fight commentary….
just my two cents
this is my favorite site on the web, still!
Lambert looks mushy at 205. Did he use to fight at middleweight or something?
I just love how lambert was throwing a hard right hook when he got caught by the left hook, and his body did like a 180 spin before hitting the ground ;/
lambert was doing surprisingly good untill that point though
Chamberfool – Glad you mentioned BJ’s staredown, he was so focused, intense and psyched up. Funny the way he was stood side on instead of nose to nose too. HaHaha.
you’re watching fights for free mate. if you wanted that stuff, order the pay-per-view
yeh i agree with chamberfool wholeheartedly…..and this site is the truth
don’t hate if it wasn’t for this web site i would of never seen bj vs joe.this web site is fo real!!!!!!
Has any one noticed how BJJ fighters let other fighters punch themselves out? This I think play a huge roll as the fight progresses.
When you see two BJJ fighters fight, they punch less frequent.
I think that was the strategy BiG Nog tried to use against Fedor, but Fedor is just a beast on the ground, his stamina and accuracy is phenomenal.
I have to say.. Joe Rogan is a jock rider, he’ll ride any American fighter’s jock. He is so biased that watching a bout and hearing his comments are appalling. Can’t the UFC get any better commentators, I’m sure there is a retired fighter that can do that job.
i love wilson his for me is the best ever ……
gotta keep ur hands up man
Rogan does tend to have a bias from time to time, but I don’t think he had one here. He was praising Gouveia before the fight started. I think he has respect for a good game plan and when Lambert squandered that, he was disappointed. But, who cares really? As long as Gouveia does not mess around with stupid stuff like pulling half-ass guillotines into guard and costing himself rounds, he can hang with anyone.
Give it a rest Dirty. All you ever do on here is hug Pride’s nuts and bad-mouth the UFC. I suggest you get used to things as they are, because the UFC now has almost every elite fighter signed (notable exceptions like Filho, Gomi, and Fedor aside) and Pride is no more.
Wilson was getting handled here, and Joe even commented that he’s never seen him get rolled that way (the implication being that Joe was seeing a sub-par performance from the guy). He also never said that the fight was ‘in the bag’, but rather pointed out (accurately so) that the all the action had been dominated by Lambert… other than the last 3 seconds. DAMN what a punch!
awww man i feel sorry for lambert i actually thought he was going to win this fight and make some noise in the lhw division. but gj to gouveia anyway, he should def be bumped u to contender status now after 4 straight
DC, obviously you have more of an issue with what I said about an announcer that has no business in MMA. The only reason he got that job was because UFC was dying for any sort of media attention, and having the host of a reality TV show was instant, and cheap publicity… Rogan didn’t do anything to deserve that job… except go to a MMA event.
But obviously you care more about bitch-chat than analyzing MMA matches….
I was hoping to get feedback on this… “Has any one noticed how BJJ fighters let other fighters punch themselves out? This I think plays a huge roll as the fight progresses.

Rogan still Swallows… and I bet it’s your load DC…
Chamberfool, I agree with biscuits…. you’re watching them for free. Go ahead and pay if you want it all, sorry man. And as for your guys complaining about Rogan, yea, he isn’t very good. But I don’t think he’s biased much. Wilson got that half-ass bullshit guillotine, and Rogan was nearly hyping it to be over. And he does have good knowledge on the sport, I’m pretty sure he trains BJJ. My biggest complaint is that when he gets into his head that somethings gonna happen, he keeps bringing that up, when its dead and buried. And his voice….
this guy lambert came in too cocky, he didnt even keep his guard up at the beginnin of round 2. what an idiot. not the best mma fighter ufc has. he needs better trainin. gouveia had better technic for sure, maybe a little more trainin he could be really good with submissions, maybe even some decent standup…..proly not but hey avg fighters no doubt
lambard is overrated.. he sucks.. babalu under estedmated him is all
I don’t understand why everyone hates Joe Rogan so much. Mike Goldberg or whatever his name is, is much worse. Goldberg says the stupidest things and doesn’t know anything about what’s going on in the cage. At least Rogan can deliver a decent commentary without saying Goldberg stuff like ” Kendall Grove is the tim sylvia of the middleweight division.” and calling every tall fighter “the Kendal Grove” of their division. Or Goldberg going on and on about a fighters reach advantage and saying the other fighter should throw kicks but ” make sure to lean back so he doesn’t get hit with counter punches”
Have any of you watched KOTC? Lambert was an up-comer fighting out of Ted Williams Combat Grappling back in those days, him and Joe Stevenson.
