SPIT your mouth piece out after you got hit with a hard shot.. you’d hafta take a time out to retrieve it.. and while in time out.. you are going to recover.. and low and behold he won the fight!! maybe in this case different.. but you could EASILY be dishonest about it…………

Was Razor Rob sick or something? I’ve seen him fight 5 times now and this is the first time I’ve ever seen him look sluggish, I mean right out of the gate, he looked tired/nervous. Even when he was throwing bombs, they didn’t have the normal explosiveness behind them. Very disappointing effort from him. Congrats to Varner though, he looked great. If he can keep that kind of effort up, he will probably be the WEC lightwieght champ for awhile.

Varner fought hard for that win, impressive. Have to say though, that “timeout” was questionable. He was rocked right before that, definetely bought himself sometime to recover. Entertaining fight regardless. Thanks for posting!

I don’t watch WEC and am not a fan of either fighters but I was bored so I watched it so you’ll have a very unbiased opinion here. I don’t think the timeout was the reason for Varner’s victory. He did get rocked from that punch but he had several seconds to recover and had already recovered when he called the time out. However, I’ve never seen a fighter call his own timeout before.

varner calling timeout to retrieve is mouthpiece is pussy. you don’t get a timeout in the WEC..atleast you’re not supposed to. just like in a streetfight..varner would have been finished.

varner got lucky. rob’s takedown defense was on point. everyone gets caught. rob will be back for sure, and if i was varner i’d be praying on my knees…just like he did when he cried when he won because he knows how lucky he was.

I love those hooks… very nice boxing skills. McCullough was out classed… with or with out the time out. His kickboxing was futile, all his bravado shit was futile. McCollough does belong in the UFC, they like guys like him there… kindda like Tito… shows up for the weigh-ins and interviews, talking shit, but then forgets that he has to fight once in the octagon.

I wish the ref had let Varner punch the shit out of Razor… just like Razor did to an already knocked out opponent… no class.

I love it when fighters knock out a guy and the wait for the ref to jump in… that’s total domination… kind of Anderson Silva vs Chris Leben… not like this Razor punk ass bitch.

Jamie Varner is a true Champion, he trained hard. He had was leading in points, he clearly won the first two rounds. That one hit is all Rob had. Varner was in control and the aggressor the whole time. He knocked Rob the fuck out..did anyone else see that. That boy deserves some respect. It’s really sad when people can talk shit, for what ever reason. Varner will be the champ for a long time.

I’m not a big WEC fan, but I watch the fights sometimes. This was one of the most entertaining fights I’ve seen, exciting from beginning to end.
I did however, think it was weird that Varner called time out, I had never seen that before, haha! I’m sure Mazzagatti would’ve seen the mouthpiece fall out and done something about it OR Varner would’ve had his teeth knocked the f out wich would be kind of expected to happen every now and then, just like a broken arm; I mean, it’s a fight, right? McCullough would’ve won and Varner losing his teeth would’ve been ruled as an accident. Now I’m wondering… has that ever happened…?
Varner got lucky, for sure. But that doesn’t mean he’s not a great fighter.
