James The Colossus Thompson Leaves England For Xtreme Couture

The powerful mass of muscle going by the name of James Thompson has decided to move to Las Vegas in an attempt to jump start his MMA fighting career.

UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture and his loaded pack of strong wrestlers at Xtreme Couture have chosen to take Thompson under their wings and bring him back to form. The 6-feet-5, 265-pound Thompson has lost his last two fights by first round knockout. The first one was by Butterbean and the next by up-and-comer Neil Grove at Cage Rage 22 in England.

Thompson cited lack of quality training partners and poor motivation for his last two weak performances. He hopes training with the best will bring back “The Colossus” from hiatus. Thompson left his ex-training mates the Trojan Free Fighters in Cheltenham, England on good terms and is looking forward to a more prosperous year on the MMA scene.

I’m still waiting for three time Olympic champion Alexander Karelin to get into this sport. Now there’s a true “powerful mass of muscle” and a genuine athlete, to boot. Couture must have some Greco connections with the big Russian; why doesn’t he try to recruit the guy? (He turned 40 this month; time’s running out).
